Sony fan boys even more desperate than apple ones. They are living in forum and trying to convince everyone hOw GoOd tHiS OvErPrIcEd PhOnE Is. Worst OS support of all androids. Even xiaomi promised 4OS updates, 5 years security. And this overpriced tech "The majority of Sony phones come with two upgrades and two years of patches".

    Weekly reminder for not blind people, not arrogant sony praising for anything people(same as apple).

    This phone is soooo overpriced. Even SD card speeds are absurd. Check XDA thread called "Internal file speed Vs SD card". Everything is worse on this phone compared to competitors for the same price. Even AlMiGhTy Sd CaRd speeds are super bad. Waste of money.
    It overheats more than any other snapdragon gen 2 CPU. Check XDA forum, especially thread "Does mk5 overheat to an any extent?". This phone is joke for it's price. DON'T SUPPORT OVERPRICED TECH

The fact... moreEspecially, I remember a lot around 2016–2018, when Sony Xperia was still independent, tech communities and all people were begging for Sony to collab with Sony Alpha and other divisions, and in 2019, it did happen eventually. Sony fulfilled their dreams by releasing Xperia 1, the first phone that has a deep Sony Alpha and other Sony division collaboration in it, and Xperia 1 and onwards act just like Sony standalone cameras, Alpha and CineAlta (I can confirm as I own both the Mark 1 and Mark II of the Xperia 1 right now), but people are still complaining non-stop right now, even to the 5th generation. At this point, Sony should focus on the core audience of the Xperia and ignore those who just complain about it for the sake of complaining.

The fact that you are not their target audience does not mean the phone is flawed, it just means it's not for you. Phones are not one size fits all devices. You don't have to like every phone that comes out for it to be a good phone. You're right that Sony phones behave a lot like their standalone cameras and don't have the best auto mode... But for those buying them, that is a positive thing.

          Sony always provide the best hardware on their phone, but always fail to provide good software processing especially on camera department... Sony camera is not suitable for point and shoot person, but it is built for dslr kind of person...

You can't overcharge your battery with an offbrand charger. That's the only way you could hurt your battery health. The phone is responsible for battery management not the charger, therefore the only way a third party charger could affect your battery health is if you set the phone on top of it and it got hotter than a first party one. That's literally the only way. Go take your apple executive beliefs somewhere else. Louis Rossmann wants to have a word with you.

                Is camera set up good enough to compete with Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra or iPhone 15 Pro Max

                  I have received the phone yesterday, and my 24h impressions are:
                  - Audio capabilities are insane. The audio coming out of the earbuds is leagues above any other phone, both wired and wireless. Speakers are sacrificing bass for detail. The sound when listening to music in the room reminds me of listening to a record player.
                  - Camera is just different. There is no processing, you get what you see. This approach did not work in the past due to the sensor limitations, but with this new sensor they can fully embrace the hardware approach. When shooting on my S23 Ultra,I would always get a twisted sense of reality; but not with the Sony, and I find it extremely liberating.
                  - Media consumption on this display is just better than any other phone; not because of 4k, but because of Bravia technology and colour calibration.
                  - Battery life is amazing, and given that it lasts way over a day, slow charging is appreciated to extend the battery's life span.
                  - Never had issues with thermals, even when gaming (No Genshin yet).
                  - Design is light weight, and feels more solid than other phones I have used over the year.

                  It is a very unique experience in this modern day and age, a refined one. I agree, it should have been a bit cheaper, but you do get a premium experience.

                      I think Xperia 1V also supports aptX lossless which is not listed

                        Seems me this phone can compete with Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max I believe iPhone 15 Pro Max is overpriced crap

                                        Now THIS, THIS is what I'm looking for, no fear of having MicroSD and headphone jack in a phone.
                                        However, it pisses me off that they're keeping up the trend of removing the charger because of "eCoLoGy" (they're lying, they just want you to be responsible for their contamination and also get money by selling you a charger), there's no USB-C, nothing. Like, what am I supposed to do? Use the phone until it runs out, throw it away and buy a new one?
                                        Man I miss the good old days when brand treated you like royalty, in a box it came the phone, charger with wall adapter, a case and headphones. This is literally what I've talked about with iFixit and they're mad at it as well.
