        These seem to be the only phones left with expandable memory (SD CARD SLOT). It's absolute insanity that you people buy phones without this option.
        I also need to defend the price of a Sony phone for 3 reasons.
        - they have a very small share of the market yet release phones with at comparable or cheaper than google, Samsung and Apple
        - they are made in factories that treat their employees better and pay better and have less modern slavery.
        - the quality of materials, workmanship and quality control is better than the competition.

        If you actually take time to look at what they offer Sony phones are incredible for the price when you consider that they don't have all the extra micro transactions like the competition. They don't hold you hostage with your data, they don't limit you to an app store, they don't restrict your storage options.
        There phones don't skimp much at all.
        The biggest draw back is the software and firmware. They have hit a point where it's now time to rebuild from the ground up and purge that buggy code.
        They also need to spend a little money updating their marketing team and revamp the website.

                Go buy whatever you want, this phone was not made for you to begin with. This is not a mass market phone, it is a niche product for those with specific requirements and tastes.

                I wonder what it is that makes you cry here? Nobody is forcing you to look at these devices, or use them anyway. The market is rich with arguably better phones with a lot of people pleasing features.
                But that is not what Sony does. Sony excels at cutting-edge technology. The camera alone in this device is a new paradigm in imaging.

                      Xperia is nowhere near blackberry in terms of prestige. Almost no one in the word are dreaming to buy xperia. Yet.. it has poor support compared to its competitors.

Sony's flagships are the most feature-rich flagships out there with outstanding quality and performance, and cameras with infinite potential. Comparing a small BlackBerry to a giant Sony is also laughable. One successful Spider-Man movie can cover any Xperia expenses for Sony.

I don't care if you think I overdo or overspend for Xperia. If that's what I'm willing to get just for MicroSDXC card slot expansion, 3.5mm jack, and Sony Alpha experience in a phone, then I'll do it no matter what other said and what other brands offers their own advantages, when they didn't fulfill what I want. Glad to know you did enjoy yours but remember, people has its own necessity. I mean, if people today want a V10 naturally aspirated engine car, their only option are Audi R8 GT and Lamborghini Huracan. Those other people thinks they're overspending as they could get V8 Twin Turbo engine that's cheaper and sometimes better, but if want those certain people want only NA V10 car today and nothing else, they will be willing to spend or even sacrifice no matter what just to get those cars with V10 engine. I haven't mentioned even more rarer car engine like W16 in Bugatti or W12 in Bentley's that already said farewell earlier.

                                    Sure, 2017 Xperia bezels were a lot, but bezelless thing only took off that year as well, especially 2017 Xperias are developed 1-2 years in advanced, meaning they developed those 2017 Xperias since 2015/6. And Sony only did 18:9 aspect ratio as a stop gap before transitioning. Especially Sony has been in multimedia industry for 35 years in both Cinema and TV shows that use common aspect ratio such as 16:9/9:16, 21:9/9:21 4:3, 3:2, 1:1, and every Sony division has been generalized to the standard that Sony follows in every industry Sony dives in, including Xperia. Plus, iPhone rumoured to adopt 20:9 aspect ratio in 16 series based from reports so far, meaning at this case, Xperia is ahead on adopting tall aspect ratio.

                                    If Xperia keeps 18:9 and going curvy even further in 2018, meaning Xperia is the only division not to comply with Sony standard of their other division (especially these days of brand screaming ecosystem interconnection) in sake of satisfying the mainstream market (and failed too, Sony didn't gain any new customers, but shifted away the fans) and did you saw how disappointed those Xperia user back in 2018 when Xperia becomes mainstream with those choices (curvy, no 3.5mm jack, unorthodox look)?

You're been fooled by marketing into thinking you're rich when in reality you are not. Samsung phones simply do NOT offer the same level of quality as Sony.

                                      Customers of Sony already know the quality and reputation of the brand. That's why Sony is more subtle. When you own a Sony Xperia 1 V, you become a member of an exclusive club and as such treated in this way.

My dream is to get maximum from your phone and from sony you clearly wasting too much money. I had sony long time ago and I liked it so much. But now everything is different. For 1100euros(it's on a discount 1 week after launch for almost 20% lol) you can get more for your money buying other companies phones. Xiaomi 13 way cheaper and better, s23+ for the same price much better OS support, way more features. Even iphone 14 pro, asus zenfone 10 are better choices for the same money.
