sieg32, 20 Jun 2023Yeah I hope, because 1 V too big in my opinion
I hope that... moreThe Xperia 1 series has always been Sony's top-of-the-line, cutting-edge, semi-professional (full-professional phones are reserved for the Xperia Pro series), and larger flagship series in the Xperia lineup since 2019 and is the continuation of the 4K Xperia Premium series from 2015 to 2018, with amalgamation from the vanilla Xperia (XZ3 perspective), as Sony were streamlining their Xperia since Sony internal restructuring). Their size is always bigger than their vanilla counterpart.
Meanwhile, the Xperia 5 series is Sony's vanilla, safer, slightly-mainstream, and smaller flagship series in the Xperia lineup since 2019 and is the continuation of the vanilla series from 2013 to 2018, with amalgamation from the Xperia Compact series (XZ2/XZ2C perspectives).
About the cameras, we'll see what the Xperia 5 V's camera setup will offer in September. I'm saying this because the differentiation, or gap, between the Xperia 1 and 5 series began to widen. Last year's Xperia 5 IV sacrificed the Xperia 5 III's 70-105 mm variable periscope telephoto lens for a 60 mm fixed telephoto lens (2.5x) (the rest of the lens and setup were the same, thankfully). Hopefully, Sony finds a way to put the periscope telephoto lens in the Xperia 5 series again.
Hopefully, it will, considering the Xperia 5 is mostly just a compact version of the Xperia 1 series and a complementary flagship to the Xperia 1 all these years.

Danzo, 20 Jun 2023Does anyone know why Sony phones has max slow motion fps 12... moreIDK would a higher FPS be more Reservoir Dogs slow mo?
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=12263&idPhone2=12024&sSearch3=%5Bpixel+fold&idPhone3=12265
So re this phones pre order price $1399 Xperia & $1199 Samsung S23 Ultra
Clearly Sony are splitting the cost of "free" WH-1000XM5 $200 more than the Ultra launch price
The Xperia I V is an exceptional phone it supports a 1TB memory card with a near perfect Gsmarena review between this and the Ultra there is NO wrong choice
The headphones retail at $399 / £380 / AU$650 as you can see once the phone price drops to $1000 which it will those on jumped are locked in for 2 years
You may be wondering why I have included the Pixel Fold, If I knew the answer to the astronomical contract prices being asked for this phone do you think I would be writing for free?

3Lr34L, 18 Jun 2023khaki green ? what kind of color is that ? 🤣😇I think is some kind of army's green.
My last phone was black. I didn't wanted black again or that silver. So I chose green. I think it should be pretty nice, and, why not, different.
I will see it when I will get it.
I hope that în future they will bring more colors on. Some blue,as example.

The 1V is bundled with WH-1000XM5 and the 10V is bundled with WH-CH520.
For 1399 € and 499 €.
That was sooner than I expected :)

Stanley Kubrick, 11 Jun 2023I had three reasons to want this phone... (1) Front facing ... moreI have tagged your post but will aomddress other comments to save multiple post
Yes the head phone jack is a wonderful stand alone feature. It being on top neat, the counter argument is the Type C can be fitted with dual charger / 3.5 mm jack
The Notification LED is a point I don't get, there ISN'T an app to replace it as the LED was separated.
The reason I dont get it as for most time my phone is in my pocket. I don't understand the need to respond immediately to another event, I don't therefore had my phone in my hand all the time
So yes I did have a Blackberry Z10 (which had a notification LED) as a 2nd phone, it's usefulness was very low.
Generally you do get a small faction who won't turn off a phone especially annoying in a cinema, I could go on.
Here is the comparison with S23 and 13 ultra https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=12263&idPhone2=12024&idPhone3=12236
The base model I V memory is the second for the S23
Motorola phones that support memory cards support 512Gb, Samsung phones support 1Tb. Sony I don't know My point is a 512Gb card top specs top brand, cost will be a fraction of the cost between the 1Tb and 256Gb S23
(those who state they need 1Tb)
Re no charger in box All Type C cable minimum is 60W, 3A
The PD you buy must be considered also, you would NOT
in most likelyhood get the speed charging the 13 ultra if you bought a standard cable, as it's cable supports 90 Watts
It is both the cable and charger which determines or limits speed up to the phone supported level
USB micro usb are typically 5 watts formula Watt = Volts X Amps 5 volts X 1 amp
Re the initial price and freebies. Sometimes even networks make mistakes when offering phone plans, suffice to say I was looking at sim free and sim only contract to replace a phone digitiser issue. Saw this and went for it, within 2 weeks price adjusted upwards
I normally pick a phone then make sure nothing better has come along, but in this case I was living inside Gsmaren and said hey an went for it.
It was very good and very true.
Timing is everything will the price decrease, how long do I have to wait . The Galaxy S23 Ultra has dropped approximately 20 % in 4 months
Six months after look launch maybe the time to get a new phone
Having said that it could be that the price holds, due to anyone who looks at the pixel fold and visits Gsmarena will be adding to demand.
I am in shock, look the more you are willing to spend it would is should be incumbent to do a basic search
