Downside of this Sony Xperia 1 V is instead should use the 4320P they still use the old one 2160P which is using by midrange phone...I'm saying this 👎 is thumbs down..

      Anonymous, 13 May 2023Ppl that work on xperia are same ppl in charge of sony phot... more1. A7siii is a video centric camera which is why it's locked to 12mp, as 4k is 8mp! Smartphones are mainly photography centric and most people including Sony fans care more about photos.

      2. There's criticisms of A7siii due to quad bayer imx510 sensor. It would've been better if pure, RGB 12mp was used. However, it still performs better than as7ii because imx510 is a BSI sensor. However, it would perform even better had it not been quad Bayer! Sony may have taken a 48mp RGB sensor and turned into a quad Bayer 12mp to save cost.

        I ask because most people show double standards with regards to Sony price. To them Samsung and Apple are allowed to increase price and others, especially Sony isn't.

          Sony still has 2 year security updates (im not even talking about software) on a $2000 phone. Atrocious.

                  Colours disgusting, design disgusting, 21:9 disgusting, depreciation disgusting and software updates disgusting.. I still have my rooted XZ1 which is awesome but Sony died ages ago.

                        Indeed, an EXCELLENT Android Phone, at least specs-wise! As someone else posted, the only real problem with this phone will be the price.... 1400 Euros is INSANELY Expensive!!! Which, in turn, may affect the Sales Volume adversely! We strongly believe that a FAIR Price for this phone, should NOT be more than 900 Euros, MAXIMUM!!!

                                They launch it for 900 dollars and it revives the Sony mobile division of so many sales! Still, 1,400 is the high-end standard, so

                                  Still 21:9... I will continue to wait for Sony to provide a wider phone. Currently using XZ3 and that's skinny for me. I only bought the XZ3 because I dropped a barbell and it hit the screen on my XA2 Ultra and broke it.
