Having a 52Mp or a 48Mp isnt gonna make much of difference and anyways its binned down to 12mp which makes the whole thing better.

There are three things that in my opinion are quite silly and funny. First, they give 30w charging on a 5000mAh battery, although it's fine, but 25w is enough. But, I understand that many people are addicted to their devices so waiting for them to finish charging is difficult. Second, they still use front numbers for 4K resolution. I actually still wonder why they and many people still do it but for the 21:9 ratio with 4K resolution it is actually 5040×2160 instead of 3840×1644 not the numbers in front but the back first that should be written. Third, this one is very clear which is the price of the device.

If only Sony made a midranger that competes with the Poco F5 that also has expandable storage with headphone jack and SD 7+ Gen 2 at a similar price with identical specs.

FOV is same for 4:3 and 16:9/21:9 modes.
Also, reduces the crop of EIS, less resolution lost because of it.

does this phone still have the notification LED on the top right ? i dont see any dedicated layout on the top bezel for a LED on the renders. if anyone gets a hands-on or knows if it still does plz comment here.

I appreciate the jump to a new main camera, which brought extreme improvements since the predecessors came with some disabled, outdated, miniature, 12mp 1/1.7" sensor. but the telephoto still needs improvement. As gsmarena already says, I think a wider zoom range would make more sense, like 3x-7x etc. The loss of detail despite the continuous zoom is unacceptable too. my s22 ultra with 3x and 10x zoom creates better images than this phone.

I'd buy it, but I don't feel that Sony is committed to making mobiles or providing after-sales support. No doubt that the iPhone uses the Sony lenses (how much do they pay them to not disclose this?) but it's really just a case of, Sony is not interested in the mobile space.

Cpt.Power, 12 May 2023Man this one yes but i was speaking about issues wth outdat... morePeople who tend to play demanding 3d heavy games on their phone would want the most modern chispet available, because for them the raw performance is a priority when they have to choose a phone to buy. I perfectlty understand that you look only performance per buck, but some people want all rounder flagship which S series represents. If you care only for playing demanding games then you should buy a gaming phone, not a regular flagship such as Galaxy S series.

Just like the Diablo immortal for example.
Phone lik Samsung S10 cant run the game properly and even if so its laggs so much its unplayable. Thats also a 4 years old phone.
When this gets 4 years apps and games released in 2027 will be too powerhungry and ram hungry for this phone and will barely runs them.
