Sony is the only one that still has respect from me and that's why I will always compare this brand, it is the only flagsheep that still offers an audio jack and a sdcard port, this proves that it is possible but the others will not offer it to you force you to buy the more expensive version of the phone for space, and not to mention that in case of problems I can remove my card from the phone with all the pictures and data on it, but an s24 ultra loses 1 terabyte of information instantly, as for the quality of the camera and images, I don't think anyone can say anything unless they're an idiot who still believes in advertisements and doesn't try before commenting.

As you said resolution is also unnoticable so 100% prefer the 1 VI. Still gonna wait for the 1 VII where the telephoto hopefully gets a bigger sensor with exmor technology. According to rumors it will also launch with the WH-1000XM6 as a gift which would make the big price tag of I assume 1500€ hurt less. The 1 VI should drop to 1000€ around december

                                  Just took a look at the phone in a Sony Store and compared to my 5 IV.

                                  Build-wise it is really impressive. A beautiful phone.

                                  Suprisingly, it is not much bigger than my 5 IV though it does have a super slimline case, so with the case removed, it's more noticeable the 1 VI is bigger, but not by much.

                                  I've seen a lot of comments cry like a teenager about the screen resolution. I compared the visually rich Apple website on the 5 IV to the 1 VI, both at 50% and 100% brightness and honestly could not tell the difference in resolution. There was nothing visually different in sharpness even with small text.

                                  I actually thought the screen on the 1 VI was more vibrant.

                                  But we can put to bed that it's too "low res". Evidently Sony engineers know that it's almost indistinguishable to the human eye using a higher res screen, and that would also kill the battery life, where I would much rather have a longer lasting battery than a slightly sharper screen that I won't notice unless my eyes are 5cm away.

                                  Once this drops to £1000, it will be worth buying. I'm not actually fussed if they don't release the 5 VI.

                                  The PRO-C, if the rumours are real, would also be interesting, but that would be priced at £2.5k and no phone is worth that kind of money even though I could buy it through my company.

It's nothing premium compared to HTC except manual camera mode and that's it. HTC was way ahead of their time with that masterpiece and that hurt them a lot. On the other hand I'm not surprised that you are blind we are in sony comment section after all.
