LOL, 28 May 2024It all depends on how much you are willing to pay a premium... moreI am biggest sony fan I will buy it even it's bad. At least it has sony logo on top. No I'm not obsessed at all. The only thing I need is 4k120 recording. It's recording phone nothing else. If it was smart it should have more features and longer software support at least but it has nothing else except high price, 4k120fps. BUT IT'S SONY! If you rich you need to buy it to show that you have money and like spending on worthless things.
It's like "supreme" brand of phones hehehe.

It all depends on how much you are willing to pay a premium for the Sony brand.
From the few lowlight night photo samples provided, they're only acceptable if the price is around half or two-thirds of the launch retail price. Otherwise, it's a bad deal.

A.W., 26 May 2024I really want to like the Xperia phones, but pretty much ev... moreYou can burn every OLED in 2 months. I own XZ3 5 years and it is clean. It is good to set "Colors" 3D wallpaper when it is plug in to the charger.
PS How did you burn LCD screen (XZ2)?

I really want to like the Xperia phones, but pretty much every Sony phone I have owned has had screen burn issues (Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ2 and Xperia 5 mark I); the Xperia 5 mark I being my last Sony phone. My best phone for reliability since then has been my iPhone 13 Pro which I am still using today.
Just dug out my old Xperia XZ2 last week, and the phone itself is still going strong after six years, although the small screen burn patch on the bottom left of the screen is still noticeable.

So guys those of you who have decided not to buy Xperia 1 VI because of lower resolution display and 18:9 display size ,which phone will you be buying.
I'm seriously asking from those who are looking for alternative as I'm, so don't reply like Display is better or 18:9 is better, we have already decided it's not and moving forward with our decision.

Sony needs to urgently reconsider the design of its display. As someone with a lot of experience in buying and selling phones, I suggest to Sony:
1- It should quickly eliminate the edges of the phone's display
2- Have a new design for its phones
3- Also reconsider the prices of its phones
