Display Resolution Issue

    Don't forget if Sony is king of camera sensor, every big brand except Samsung are use Sony's stuff, maybe some Samsung device use Sony's sensor. But if you see any flagship device now, only Xiaomi has close gaps if we talk about camera result.

      I am disappointed by the Xperia 1 VI configuration,was expecting much more in comparison with pixel,Sammy but Sony is still dwelling with same chapter.The down grading on display quality is much painful because we are already using 4k on mark three,and mark second.I think Sony doesn't want to rule the electronic world any more.
      Any way I still have to wait one more year for better result,better luck next time Sony.

          Just get the 1 V and u will be fine for the next one to come out.

            From the world's sharpest screen to one of the lowest screen resolution on a 6.5" flagship phone. It's fine, though since nowadays battery is the most important thing on a smartphone and it's not showing any real upgrade or revolution yet. Now the screen is essentially the same as the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it's understandable. However, why Exmor T sensor is still only for the main cam? Like seriously!? You sacrificed Laser AF, RGBC-IR, and 3D iToF cause Exmor T no longer needs them so why not use it on all cameras?

              This might be the best camera phone in 2024!

              I waited so long for a proper camera phone with real optical zoom (not that digital crop that most flagships do including s24 ultra, xiaomi 14 ultra and vivo x100 ultra)

              This is the first phone ever that has optical zoom at all major zooms, optical at (ultrawide), optical at 1x AND also 2x! If that wasn't enough you also get optical zoom from 3.5x to 7.1x! Show me 1 single camera phone that can even come remotely close to this one! Cant wait to see a gsmarena review of this awesome phone!

                Not a fan of the screen's downgrade. On thos price range they should have gone atleast quadhd and the aspect ratio hmmm. Maybe that too would have been great is it were in between 19.5:9 and 21:9 as i have fed up with these wide phones.
                Also i think the ultra wide camera should have had AF for macro shots.

                      At least the panel should be 6.77 this phone looks and surely feels like a very expensive mid-range!! Anyway, it's not that Sony is known for selling many phones even in its own country.

                            I'm a sony fan and I loved my Xperia 1 II with 4K resolution and I'm still using it (not a fan of switching phones for every 2-3 years). But this year Xperia 1 VI is 5 VI in disguise with 1400€ price tag. I expect this year 1 VI to be priced rather at 5 segment price since it is obvious that they have cut their cost in many segments. I'm afraid they gonna end up like LG since their last launch had similar vibes. No sane person will pay over 1k for a phone dispaly that is worse than last 5 generations.

                            Any Sony fan shouldn't support these recent moves from 4K, form factor or with the LED notifcation light. These are the only unique features that kept it alive since Xperia 1 introduction. Yes charge 1450€ like iPhone does in europe but give it all when it comes to flagship. Otherwise just call it a Xperia 5 segment not 1.

                                Amazing phone!
                                Can't believe that Sony made a camera system like no other! Having optical zoom at 0.6x 1x, 2x, and continuous optical zoom from 3.5x to 7.1x is the most amazing thing anyone has ever accomplished in a smartphone!

                                Cant wait for the gsmarena review of this phone, i expect it to obliterate all 2024 camera phones on the market!

                                  I wonder if the individual pixels will be noticable with 396ppi 🤔 As long as i can't see them it's fine.
                                  And for the main camera, i wish they would have used a 1" sensor like other manufacturers, but at least i hope they improve the software processing in auto mode.

Remember very well.. if you're a Sony fan, you're gonna be able to tell how long you use your phones before the battery got destroyed. I have use over 12 of their smartphones and i can tell the battery could last for 4 years and sometimes more before replacement. I got my old Xperia 5 still working with battery health still on 82% after 3 years of steady use. I'm currently still having my Xperia 1 iii which is over a year and 6 months and the battery health is still 92%. I just haven't bought the Xperia 1 iv and v because i didn't see much differences and the price is a bit way too high for my budget since i have my family to take care of. Thanks. A gift of it i will sincerely appreciate it since i love Sony phones as they're very durable and has the best multimedia you can ever find out there

                                      Sadly I think I will be moving away from SONY now I am really disappointed in this launch the cameras seem to carry it some what pretty well but the Hardware is not up to par with the Samsung devices S24 ULTRA I might be moving to that 200MP camera and just use RAW images for shooting. I think they could have kept the 4K screen and a better panel that would give better performance as well. Sadly I have owned a Sony for the past 15 years but it seems like it wont be the case this time. Do better Sony !
