I think Sony listened up all the fans and corrected those complaints. Looks to be a great phone. I can't wait to use it.

... moreI like 19.5:9 ratio display than 21:9 ratio display (in a phone) . But unfortunately most phone companies are trying to bring long phones and I don't like it.

Maybe because of 4k on my phone xperia 1iv I should have been charging 2time a day a night twice recording video and editing …so the solution is maybe il go for Xperia 1vi for longer 2 day battery life.. the resolution at full hd plus is pretty good.. maybe im ok without 4k display..

As a phone, I bet if Xperia 1VI was priced competitively it could outsell it's competitors, its really that good. But does Sony care about that? Does Sony care about manufacturing more units for increased demand? I hear Xperia phones aren't even available in certain markets. It appears that Sony's goals are different to other OEMs.

Dropping 4K display not for a 2K but a HD plus?
You get that on entry level phones and they wanna charge flagship prices? Its was the perfect phone but why Sony why? I will not be buying this device when I was holding out for this for a very long time. Its truly sad. I don't know what goes on people mind when making these decisions in massive companies

It does not matter if you don't think people use it. Including an sd card costs next to nothing and it's a sign of respect for the costumer which people should appreciate regardless if they use it or not. That said a lot more people than you'd think would like to use one. If no one wanted the option 512gb versions of phones would not exist.

We do because we understand tech but ask anyone else and they won't have a clue and frankly won't care. It is a great feature for sure and essential in 2024 but not that many people care about it as you think. MicroSD and headphone jack are nice to have for sure (and a USP over other phones) but again less relevant for the majority of consumers. I for one love having them but never use them. And I have my display on my 1 III set at 60hz to conserve battery as 120hz drains the battery much faster and I don't notice that much of a difference anyway. What always made my Xperia cool and stand out were the 21:9 aspect ratio, 4K HDR display, the rear camera, dual SIM and the overall high quality of the phone

Edis, 16 May 2024Thank God they dropped the 21x9That's one of the reasons I wanted to buy it as my 5iii is experiencing battery drain. It isn't available in the U.S., though, and I prefer something with an even wider shape.

Jersey , 17 May 2024I prefer the Vivo X100 Ultra Than this phone.. lolFunny part is that to this day the vivo is the compromised phone. No matter what you do the Sony will always have at least 32gb more storage and you can expand it up to 1.5tb.

i believe and hope that i will jump to 1-VI following using XA1 plus and XZ premium (my active phone). Very impressive phone due in my needs and aesthetics.
