Either Sony is too good a... moreSony is one of very few well-known branded smartphone that are very strict, good at keeping, and tight on leaks since at least 2013 when Xperia Z1 leaked far too much, far before Sony moved to niche brands in 2019 (although some of times are worse than Sony's usual, compared to let say, Google or Samsung, Sony are less likely to get leaked very badly). After Xperia Z1 got leaked way too much 12 years ago, Sony implemented company's guidelines that prohibited any external interference including 3rd party benchmark softwares.

How are you gonna force Sony to maxed it at 400€ when Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 BOM expenses is already at 160 USD per unit and the screen itself could be around 100 USD per unit, and the Exmor T sensor is around 40-50 per unit. That is already 310 USD alone for these three components, how supposed Sony sells this for 400 USD/€ max? Do you say Sony should sell this at a loss? Sony is a company that seeks revenue and profits, not a charity institute that prioritise non-profit.

This thing costs over 1000 euros in most european countries. That's abs*rd ant disgrace to buyers. phones withing 300-600 range offers at least 4 MAJOR OS updates. I'm glad they are d**ng because it's a disgrace in smartphone market.

Anonymous, 24 Mar 2025Very few of those demanding absurd charge rates even think ... moreThat was an old "belief", in which these people "theoretically" thought that fast charger s would damage batter faster due to more heat - while they can't prove it; because each phone and the charger has different heat management.
Some phone with bad chip has poor heat management that it gets hot no matter what charger is used while others don't.
I've seen iphone and other older phones with slower charger got bloated battery.
