        sony xperias are enthusiast phones, and sony's software support is significantly cleaner than any other android manufacturer out there (they avoid hacky patches on both the kernel and OS).

        its not difficult to use a custom rom that works better than the stock one on these phones, because sony themselves maintain trees/kernels for custom roms far after the official support has ended. even after the support from qualcomm has ended.

        and by the way, most apps still run on android 7, yet on iOS apps require usually some of the latest versions to run. apple's SDK is alot more difficult to use with older iOS versions than android's.

          So far, Xperia 1 VI and OnePlus 12 look the most appealing to me.

It may not be the best in terms of auto mode, but pictures from this phone is amazing, there are plenty of people who prefer the xperia over their s23/s24u or even their ipnones. Myself included

              Loads of sam$hit and crapple fans in the comments.Sad to see people would rather waste their time on putting down some random tech giant and spread negativity ,instead of doing something productive with their lifes.(if they have any).Anyone that ever used a sony tech would't care about the 4 years of updates on the sony as if you follow the market you would know what manufacturers are doing with their phones when they get old.Just check how apple deals with it and you will see that the long ''support'' is just a marketing trick.Hardware gets wore and old,they just underclock the phone to keep the battery life in a usable state (cough cough ,apple) and say to the sheep.Hey we offer the longest software support out of all the phone manufacterers. Bravo for playing your customers like a piano.

Xperia 1 V to Xperia 1 VI changes is quite significant actually compared to 1 IV to 1 V... I could list them if you want too... And Xperia target consumers is mostly Sony lovers, manual-mode camera enthusiasts, Sony Alpha users, and those who needed front-firing stereo speakers, MicroSDXC, proper camera button (unlike Apple's solution), and 3.5mm jack in a flagship device.

Low revenue and or income, and low sales considering Xperia focus on patent-keeping and side-project, will be even harder to stop the lost of revenue comparing to sale of a full-fledge flagship that at least cover the revenue and or income with the low sale. 10 VI is probably the last budget/mid-ranger Sony currently have now that Xperia Ace most likely won't return.
