phones got a lot more expensive in recent times idk why, also now this phone is $712.99 for the 256GB ROM version which is an okay price. and i wouldn't say that overpricing is the same as gaslighting, at most it's having consumers potentially not realize that 1080p isn't the absolute best.

A 1080p screen in a 1000 dollar phone. That gaslighting worked, I see. 1440p is the bare minimum in this price range, even if you personally cannot tell the difference sine many many of us can, even many of us with glasses. At this screen size, people with good eyes can see pixelation, even if it is negligible (this is OLED with a pentile layout, remember, if it were a proper RGB subpixel LCD 1080p would be more acceptable because there wouldn't be as much color banding of text at low resolutions like 1080p). Remember, FIVE YEARS AGO plenty of 450-500 dollar phones has 1440p screens, and now all the entitled reviews from reviewers who get their phones for free and the upscaling that Samsung has done (1080p and even 720p looks fine on a 1440p display, Samsung does this by default not to save battery since that has proven to be within the margin of error, but to get people to think that 1080p in a thousand dollar phone is okay, people forget how bad 1080p actually looks in comparison to native 1440p). Look up the ZTE Axxon 7 and you will realize how the premium features of today were once staples of many midrange phone lines 5 years ago. I don't blame Sony, especially since they have 4K phones, but I do have a special type of disdain reserved for all the tech reviewers that try to gaslight us into accepting so much less for so much more money because it's "good enough". Obviously 1080p is "good enough", that's not the point, and I think some of these tech reviewers who get PAID TO ACQUIRE phones instead of pay for them like everyone else know it deep down. Android used to be about choice, it's sad to see how everything Android related has done an about face on that. RIP to "be together not the same".

Bought at launch, best phone I ever used, the form factor is amazing to hold and use. Weight is one of the best features of this phone, simply light. Powerful chipset and smooth functionality. Battery life is amazing.
After using since November till now, I can't make calls with it anymore. Maybe something broke from inside but I can't make any calls at all. Sad sad thing to let it go now.

@adi, after reset average time between 2 last charges is 25h and SoT 7,2h.
@Tim222, I've recently moved to Android 11 and had some issues with faster battery drain than usual, no signs of phone getting slower or being laggy. Moreover, everything works like a charm on that matter. I suggest you perform Factory reset or Software Repair via Xperia Companion.
@Girlfriend Gearest, Sony is newer phone, has better and faster chipset, better camera, better battery. Battery with S10e is so bad, you need to take into account charging it twice a day.

Tann Hauser, 05 May 2021If using Chrome it syncs google apps constantly in backgrou... moreNo, I don't use Chrome for years. Eventually I performed factory reset, I will let 10 days so the battery accommodates on the usage and hopefully the situation improves. As a last option there's Software Repair via Xperia Companion, which I was advised to try.
