This in order the phone learns the way and intensity of battery usage, then I will come back with info, hopefully with good news.

Eventually I performed factory reset, I will let 10 days so the battery accommodates on the usage and hopefully the situation improves. As a last option there's Software Repair via Xperia Companion, which I was advised to try.

Try turning off sync in options/accounts, if you dont need it.

io, 29 Apr 2021i am always charging the 5ii in the morning closed after de... moreSo far I've restricted mobile data for quite some apps and also to use battery in the background, except for apps where I need to be up to date like Mails and OneDrive. Due to health problems I'm off work currently so have more time to use the phone, but it's weird a little bit if I surf normally over internet that % of battery drop faster then usual, unless something is happening in the background that I'm not aware of. I will give it a try a few more days and to make some comparisons, if it keeps going under expectations I won't have the other solution but factory reset.

i am always charging the 5ii in the morning closed after deleting all the chrome data in chrome settings
so i am chargind it about 40 min till get washed and so on..
in settings mobile data ive closed unnecesary data backgroud for apps that i am not using
after 8 9 hours of work i am comming home with 40% - 50% battery

So I've been using this phone 90 days already. I noticed recently that my battery is draining faster than usual. During the night it's ok, it drops 2-3%, but when I use it for surfing, for 15 minutes sometimes drops 4%. Despite I turned off notifications for some apps and made restrictions to use battery in the background.
However from the moment I activated the phone I got Android 11 and I installed it, but I didn't perform factory reset (not sure if that was maybe better idea to do first after Android 11 upgrade).
Please for advise, is there any advantage from resetting only apps settings or should I perform factory reset?

best android phone i really do not understand why sony phones are so underrated i am using xperia 5ii for 1 month now and it is simply fluid and smooth and the design is special and different .. with spigen rugged armour looks and feels amazing

I've found the way to go one by one app and to turn background data usage off, is there a way and how to turn data usage restriction on, as you stated? I suppose that way it turn restriction to all or most of the apps.

But I dont use it above 15 % battery as it restricts my creator mode screen enhancement and sticks it to standard.

Apps needing location, like maps, will use it only when necessary and when active. Another battery waster is autobrightness, turn it off, keep brightness at preffered level, my is half. Another is background data use, so toggle the data usage restriction on. Yet another is auto updater in Playstore app options itself, turn it off, as you dont need all apps updating all the time in background.
Also I have Greenify installed, active for all, but not active for some apps, specially social ones that you want to keep you sending notifications. Also I go through the hassle to turn off notifications on all apps except some social ones, as I noticed that option in apps, like the update option in Playstore menu, actually nullifies the background data restrictions.
I get up to to 13 hr SoT this way.
