Tann Hauser, 17 Apr 2021location, autobrightness, app background data.Location is most of the time off in my case, but I tried with all unnecessary sounds and vibrations when typing and similar. Generally I'm on with battery endurance just trying to see if I can push some more limits.

Regarding the camera, is there anywhere HDR option because I can't find it neither in stock app, nor in Photo Pro? I mostly use Photo Pro on Auto, but I'm not sure if it triggers HDR automatically if needed or there is an separate option for it.

              Mobo, 15 Apr 2021Shame :( I guess I will have to get used to the Google P... moreThere's no Sony album in the Play Store, but you can download it from APK Mirror. Just go there, find the app and download it. I've been using it since i bought the phone, for a month already.
              Regarding cast feature, you have it also in Google photos, in the upper right corner, the same like in Sony Album.

                I guess I will have to get used to the Google Photos. I'm missing one big feature though, there is no TV cast button like in Sony Album app.
                My TV is an older model, 2014 LG smart TV with WebOS, it was working fine with my previous Sony phone (Xperia X). Sure hope it's not missing because of that.

                        Just purchased the phone, updated to Android 11.

                        I do not see Sony Album app is it not available anymore? It was my favorite picture app.

                              After using this 5ii for 100days by now, I can conclude that am making a right choice and decision getting it!

                              I have the P30 Pro for nearly 2yrs which have a higher rating in DXO mark than Xperia 1 ii. No review for 5ii in DXO but am judging it shld be the same or not far away with Xperia 1 ii. Do not be deceived by the high rating/points by DXO. Xperia 5ii takes better photos with right dynamic range and natural colors in most situations. The digital noise is less noticeable or more natural in comparison.

                              Thanks #Sony for bringing your Alpha tech and Zeiss on this spectacular smartphone.

Just go to settings, then fingerprints and tap your finger on the sensor, if you see your fingerprint highlighted it means it's getting updated.

                                    I'm using this phone since early February and the worst issue with it – the fingerprint scanner. I register my thumb and its works just fine for a week or so. Then scan quality begins worsening gradually. And after two or three weeks after the registration I almost never can unlock my phone with the scanner. I have to re-register my thumb once again. And after that the scanner works fine again for a couple of weeks. And I have to repeat the registration again and again. It is unacceptable. It would be a great phone if it didn't have such an annoying issue.

In my case I have both my index and both my thumbs and it is so sensitive that when I grab my phone it will unlock with the slightliest brush...
                                      As for the charging times it is fast enough up to 80 or 90%, but what's more important if the battery care options to prolong the lifetime of the battery. I appreciate those features a lot more than fast or wireless charging

It is the global version like what they sell in EU. If you are living in the US then you should be wary if it will work because they have their own cell tower frequencies.
