Anonymous, 05 Nov 2020I heard that this phone has an overheating issue especially... moreNo overheating when using the camera, even for hours. However, the phone will overheat when playing some 3D games. I have tried some rally game with all graphics set to max and it was overheating badly after just two races.

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2020I heard that this phone has an overheating issue especially... moreNone problem with cameras whatsoever. Works perfectly fine.
In fact just the other day, I tested the most demanding task, the 4K 120 fps video for some 15 min, it just kept going....
Dont believe anything you hear on web. This phone is a gem.

I used mine for about 3 days, and then the pictures started to look weird.. I took a look at the lenses and there was water condensation on it. It was never submerged or anything.. now, after less that 1 week of usage, it has been sent for "support".. which means that they will check if its a design defect or miss-use. I would recommend that you stay away from this phone, its expensive and you will get in a support rabbit hole if something is wrong with it

Dale, 31 Oct 2020Hi, I just bought this phone, my first Sony smartphone.
... moreThey won't even allow you to delete unwanted apps on their mobile. lol sony is not going to learn. someone needs to kick out people in their firmware section who do not understand very basic thing. People should have freedom to install and uninstall the apps they like or dislike.
My last Sony phone was XZ1 Compact. M not buying unless they learn this very basic thing. You cannot force people to keep apps on their phone they don't want.

Sony sony , 04 Nov 2020Dont look at mp only,,, look for apperture size alsoAperture is only part of it, pixel sites need to be a good size too, a fast lens doesn't always mean better quality.
I think sticking to 12mp is a great choice, unless you actually print your images even 8mp would be big enough for viewing on device or via social media and photography platforms.

Hi, I just bought this phone, my first Sony smartphone.
I don't see the option to transfer apps to the SD card. Is it true that Sony doesn't allow it? I can't believe this.

Lucas N82, 29 Oct 2020Some low light photos from 5II:
https://www.youtube.com/wa... moreIn usual street scenes lowlight is excellent yes, better than most I ve seen.
Also, the day before It was a rainy day, and I got reminded why autoHDR auto mode is to be avoided in some photo scenarios. Im glad I have PhotoPros manuals with optional HDR off for those occasions.
I dont find 120 hz at all that beneficial, even in gaming, to sacrifice more batterylife for it.
I am getting 2 day worth 11-12 hr screen on time with usual 60 hz.
Anyways, overall, best 2020 phone IMO.

dooper, 27 Oct 2020NO super slow-motion (960 fps) from a Sony flagship???Well, it is the most useless function I have ever used on smartphone. Believe me, it is weird. Sony removed it from their flagship is a right decision. Btw I'm using XZ2.
