The advantage is here, the phone doesn't heat up while charging and it take 4 hr or something to full charge. But I don't care since it's charging happen in my sleeping time.

What I understand if phone is heating too much then it's bad for its battery. These new quick chargers will impact on battery life, which time will prove.

The advantage of fast charging is while you are hurry to go for traveling/outside and you forget to charge phone, it's quickly charging your phone.

3.5mm is the ultimate win here, I wish they had this display in the Xperia 1 Mk2 or Xperia Pro tbh, the 120hz OLED much more usable to me than the 4K display. I'm also glad that Sony has finally got gaming features in their phones as well. This and the LG Wing are the coolest phones this year, but if Sony wants to price this premium in their devices they really need to keep up with innovation, it finally feels like Sony really is 2020 now.

Excalibur, 20 Sep 2020The deal breaker here is the storage type. Ufs 3.0=no; ufs ... moreThe optimization also is very important, for example sony xperia 1 II has shown a better result with ufs 3.0 than poco f2 pro with 3.1 at sequential and random write and read speeds.
Plus the reading speed which is necessary for good performance with UFS 3.1 isn't too much better than with UFS 3.0 so this is not a deal breaker

pan, 19 Sep 2020ever heard of inflation? are these phones better than mode... moreInflation has decreased the value of the dollar by a mere 10% in these past 5 years. Meaning the S6 would be around $660 today. Not $1000. Do your research before making bogus claims.

Just take a look at Samsung Galaxy M51 - that phone has a massive 7,000mAh battery capacity. But because it only has a 25W charging rate, it needs 115 minutes to fill up from 0 to 100%. Imagine how short or quick the charging would be if it has a higher charging rate.

Excalibur, 20 Sep 2020The deal breaker here is the storage type. Ufs 3.0=no; ufs ... moreUFS 3.0 is still fast for daily use. In fact, the difference between UFS 3.1 and UFS 3.0 isn't any significant. What you should care about is the chipset - that is the one thing that shows the difference in terms of speed.

                        Xperia 1 has 18w. Now it's 21w on mark 2. It's perfect.
I also have OnePlus 8 Pro with 30w and I should say that the phone heats when charging. I can't imagine 65w charge??? It will definitely hurt the battery

Oppo to claim that wireless charging harms battery life in the long term, it's just logical, when you charge a smartphone wirelessly there is a loss of energy and it makes the back of the smartphone and behind heat up there is the battery and the battery does not like heat stroke so yes in the long term it affects the battery life but if you change smartphones every year or 2 years well you can use wireless charging but if you want to keep your smartphone longer and well you will have to change your battery it's that simple, the manufacturers do not communicate too disappointed but a manufacturer like Oppo says that it is not for nothing and the charging very fast wired 60 Watt, 100 watt also degrades the battery, heating = degraded battery

AnonD-945200, 19 Sep 2020Great Decision, Go for it 👍 and don't forget post you... moreThanks.
First thing I ll do is stick my wired headphones in that glorious hole, and listen and watch some ambiental YT music videos, with that DSEE Ultimate sound enhance, and all the video enhancements on that no notch/bhole full capacity screen.
                                      Cant wait :)
