Is it worth it waiting for this one price to drop or should I go with Xperia 5 2019?
The other thought I had in mind is to buy Xperia 10 II and use it for some time until Xperia 5 ii price drops. What do you think?

I really wish it was available in my country. I've always been a die hard Sony phone my last phone from Sony was XZ1 but it's really sad we don't have any Sony outlets here 🙄

Will this phone have voLTE in the US? That's my main question with all of this. Other than that I would absolutely love to have this phone.

Just don't understand the logic of sony -- no dedicated sd card slot, no fm radio,
Why sony cannot make innovativw phones like samsung fold 2, lg wing, se p910 etc

But, except for the SoC, Poco is made of inferior parts, so of course it is cheaper.
Xiaomi does buissness that way, so they can charge less.
People seem to have a tendency to love the price, but not to notice the reasons behind Xiaomis lower prices... it all works well, but it all boils down to stuff like cheaper screen, usb, 3.5 jack, camera sensors and tech, gorilla glass, other build parts that care for ip rating, battery build, etc....
Its ok to prefer a good cheaper device, but we have to acknowledge also the proper reasons why there are these excellent more expensive devices out there.
Whether I or you is willing to pay a certain amount for a certain device is besides the point. But reasoning for pricing is there.
IMO its too expensive, but so are all flagship phones out there, including Xiaomis with better parts...
I was enraged at flagship pricing increase over last years at first too, but kinnda accepted the fact.
If you put larger screens, more res screens, more cameras, bigger batteries, more sensors, more RAM, etc... fact: it will be more expensive than the flagships of yesteryear that had less.
What I would like, is for Sony to start outing cheaper phones, with all that 5II offers, but with some older/cheaper SD 835 SoC and minus some unnecessary feats, with cheaper telephoto/wide camera sensors... it would be about 600, and Id buy that in an instant.

Maybe it has to do with wireless charging actually degrading battery, so they couldnt market on that guarantee for 1 II.
I ll take 2 yr 100% battery performance guarantee (and another 2 yr of no worry battery performance) over wireless charge option any day.
Although yes, it should be there, as an option for users. But knowing the above facts, I wouldnt use it anyways.
A docking charge station is a safer option IMO.

- Decent battery with fast charging
- Amazing triple camera setup with zeiss lens
- The price of the phone is not bad in my opinion

This phone has the total hardware package in a compact design that has better audio than the $1,400 P40 Pro+ and expanded memory unlike the majority of the other OEMS that are stupid enough to leave that out.
