almost the perfect phone but no qi charging, sorry but deal breaker, ill stick with my current xperia 1 II.

I've been using the Motorola One Zoom recently and I can tell you that it shoots a lot better than this Sony, even at night!

I'm thinking about changing my XZ1 Compact to this one. This seems to be good phone because it is not too wide, it has shutter button and headphone connector. It sure is tall, but it could be good while browsing stuff or splitting screen in two and having keyboard open, too.
I just wish the price will drop to more comfortable level.

This confuses me.
Both this and the mark one have the same telephoto camera. And yet this takes the better photos.
It is a software problem, I mean it has to be.

This looks like a very nice phone but:
- regardless of its specs I don't want to spend so much (GBP 900 for the 128GB model) on a phone
- the 256GB model will be impossible to find in Europe
In any case I am very happy that someone continues to put 3.5mm jacks and SD cards in their high end phones.

@bortle, Sony has its fair share of fanboys a.k.a. enthusiasts. These people will buy whatever Sony dishes out. Sony feels obligated to push something out regardless of cost. These enthusiasts will support Sony at any cost.

Dear Sony my last flagship compact are xz2 compact, I have two of them and I think to order the new 5 iii which is wider at 68mm, the xz2 compact and all your compacts before were 64-65mm wide, so I hope you keep the 65 to 67mm maximum width for the xperia 5 iv in future as I am using the phone in ONE HAND, I have no choice but to use the 5 iii without body case. Secondly the xz2 compact rounded bottom is the worst as you cannot put it flat on the table and tape the keyboard, flat bottom is excellent and the plastic body of the xz2 compact is beautiful outstanding durable and never break or get scratches, for comparison I loved the x compact body form flat and square the best to handle in the hand

I am spending money on Sony phones still becouse eventually they will listen to us and built what we want, we don't want Sony to disappear as happen to LG recently

The cameras are waaaaay behind the competition.
Software is good as long as they update it, trust me it won't last long
My flagship xz3 got screwed in terms of software after ONE software upgrade
My security patch is stock at November 2020!!!!
My old xz1 had exact same problem, one android upgrade then done!

This is price Apple charged for iphone X, phone from 2017.
This is price Oppo asked for Find X, phone from 2018 that lacks NFC.
This is price Vivo announced X60 Pro+ in India, phone that lacks sd lot, jack, usb 3.X, stereo speakers and IP rating.
This is price Samsung was asking for S21+, that lacks sd slot, jack, no accessories in the both and has useless 29mm camera.
