Anonymous, 21 Nov 2022This Sony or Apple 14?Looking at reviews on Amazon and B&H, seems that the Sony is great for photography and has expandable storage (always a plus), but does not offer WiFi calling and has issues with overheating. So I guess you should decide which tradeoffs you prefer

In fact, the Sony 5 IV is the last normal phone (in terms of features) on planet Earth, with everything you need, but, alas, with a flickering AMOLED inappropriate for flicker-sensitive people. If it had been with a contrast IPS (from 1500: 1) and its sales would have increased dramatically. Well, the fact that it overheats is not very good - it affects the battery life very much.
I would not spare the money and would have bought it if it were not with the AMOLED screen...

on the loudness part: I dont know what tests you are doing. Motorola edge 30 pro avg db 41.9 dB, Sony xperia 5 IV , avg db 51.8 dB same audio, same testing. Where do you get that Motorola is louder than Sony?

When they did that with Xperia XZ2 they lose alot of customers & that series sold at a loss.
So i doubt they will ever follow the trends of removing stuff.

Disappointing, after the XA2 era, all Sony's smarts are with gay 21:9 screen ratio. I need a normal screen ratio, not a stick!
