Amazing (from hand) potential on both. In terms of video capabilities PRO-I is out of space. It blows my mind (again)

Danish07, 04 Feb 2023How can sony justify the price for this phone?Very simple. It has the best and unique design. It has the best software optimization and ram management so this is way faster than any samsung launched till today and it has the best camera and battery life.
I can never mention an samsung that does not lag even with 6000 gb ram.

My opinions so far, in comparision to Zenfone 8:
- bigger screen and phone size
- not so loud speakers, but also very good
- notification diode smaller and in upper corner
- faster system and inside memory than Zenfone.
- no charger and no USB cable in box.
Overall I'm happy with it. Bought additional charger - where is ecology in this plan, if you must buy charger and cable in a store? All in paper and plastics?

Sony needs to make a phone with changeable lenses. This will be next revolution in smartphone photography. Imagine being able to use main sensor for ultrawide and telephoto! I think moving lenses inside phone is wrong way to go. It limits potential and increases complexity. Changeable lens wouldn't be difficult to make.

I had all the latest flagships from Xiaomi and Samsung, in the last 2 years and never considered Sony phones since my XZ2, but OMG!!! The 5 iv turn my world upside down. It is such a breath of fresh air!!! The combination between slim waist and side fingerprint, the thing that I saw as a downside, is amazing. Speakers are a joy, too. But the camera is where it surprised me the most. It is great for point and shoot, despite the reviews. Thank you, Sony! I will put my money where my mouth is and I will, without a doubt, buy the next iteration.

Good phone, had several Xperias (Xperiae?) mainly because very few phones offer LTE/5G bands for Europe and USA besides iPhone.
The only real and unfortunately for my use on several continents and inside large buildings really significant downsides to a late 2022 released phone are:
- no eSIM for the 2 SIM slot models and thus with SD-card in place, only one phone number (= physical SIM card) possible at a time
- no WiFi calling
I briefly used an iPhone 14 Pro and Google Pixel 7: both had eSims and WiFi calling and worked like a charm, but I didn't like using them for many other reasons.
My $0.02.

Good form factorr but bad connection during call! I often need to restart the mobile to be able to phone. Slot2 of SIM card does not work.
I'm seriously considering to send back the mobile.
For sure does not work 1000€. Half price would be more proper!

I likes the form factorr, and constructikn quality. Buy honestly I have lot of problem of connection! Often loose the signal during calls, only chance is to Power off the mobile. I'm seriously considering to send back the mobile.
No heating problems, good camera but no macro function. Slot2 of SIM does not work.
For sure does not worth while 1000€, half would be more proper!

Zpy, 17 Jan 2023Ah yes they should innovate by removing the headphone jack ... morePhone manufacturers that got rid of the Micro Sd card are just scamming you into paying *them* more for memory, when its available much cheaper from buying a separate sd card. There's also NO reason to get rid of the sd card slot - my phone has one and is waterproof etc with no issues.
Don't let the big players rip you off!
