Why Sony keep placing the 3.5mm jack on the top. If you're using your phone in portrait the headphone cable will mostly end up messing with the screen view, and also every time you've to put the phone in your pocket with a headphone connected the hand movement won't be natural 'cause you'll have to keep the jack facing up. Anyway, my big respect for Sony for keeping the 3.5mm jack just change the placement

This is a surprisingly great phone. I made sure I purchased the right model number for my region and everything works flawlessly. The battery life is great. The icons are nice and vivid and pops off the screen. I use it for light gaming and streaming and I haven't had any over hearing issues. I grew tired of larger phones and I'm glad Sony keeps making this. If you're in the U.S. make sure you get Model XQCQ62/B.

From what I've read this is an almost compact phone with a camera app being too complicated for the average user and the issues associated with the infamous snap dragon 8 gen 1. I have work arounds for the above issues but what I haven't been able to find out is if it has a notification led and if so where?

i would rather get less updates than sacrificing legacy features that a lot of people still using it today.
you might be right about the price. but it depends on market. sony phones are expensive. its probably up to the build quality and their propietary features🤔

You can have this at around $800 sometimes little more or even less depending on market or if there's special events. Eitherway I don't recommend phones that have scamsung fabbed SD8Gen1 soc but get SD8Gen1+ the least or the much newer SD8Gen2 that are TSMC fabbed.

$1000 with 3 years of updates, this is ridiculous. This is more expensive than iPhones. At least with iPhone you get at least 6 years of updates. And this isn’t even Sony’s most expensive.

This phone is desirable (SD, Jack, no hole or notch), but offers no value. Sony needs to get better at updates, and lower the prices. Offer something mid range (not the crap 695, at least the 778), and price at $500.

I got the S23 Ultra but because with a case it is too big for me to use outside on a daily basis, I got the Xperia 5 IV aswell now. And I gotta say so far this phone is absolutely amazing. It is super compact and elegant, obviously for gaming or photos, or simply beeing at home in general, I prefer the Ultra, but for mobile use - so basically what a phone is designed for - this thing is outrageously good.

How the hell did they put that 5000mAh battery inside a pretty normal sized and almost kinda compact phone in width and all that with a 3.5mm jack and SD slot?? Amazing.
