Sony literally has no idea how to design a smartphone. I love their alpha cameras but wtf is this? No fast charging? Only 12MP camera (my 200MP Xiaomi destroys this). You can't compare these 12MP cameras or iPhone with the level of quality and zoom in 100MP and above. This Xperia is just the same as all the rest before it with only tiny improvements for absolutely ridiculous price.

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2022 12MP in 2022? Nokia had a 41MP back in 2012.High resolution can be useful but must of the time you will just use 12MP because bigger pixels are more important.

Is it normal that every system update takes half a day? I'm not using any app in background. Third update and still worse. Is there any way to unclog this? Version 64.1.A.0.857

Sony is the very few who still makes beautiful phones without a notch/under display/punch hole, +rectangular screen +micro sd card slot + stereo speakers and the ''only 12 MP'' main camera is taking good pictures. Thanks SONY, keep up the good work!

I got my 1 Mark 2 from them after seeing them sponsor a YouTuber in India. They ship internationally and reached Ireland in a week for me.

One of the nicest looking phones of this time frame (along with the Nokia-inspired design and tiny bezels), apart from that, I don't think there are enough reasons to upgrade to this from an older Sony phone

mehami, 12 Dec 2022Hello How do I get a Sony mobile phone in the Middle East?... moreIf its not sold locally, you can import it through International Online Stores like amazon, ebay, aliexpress, etc. but don't forget the network bands since there's quite a number of variants that are for US,EU,India,etc. I probably suggest getting from Aliexpress that sells the Global HK that have many network bands than the rest.

If not I suggest you do it first & always do it everytime theres a major os upgrade. While incremental regular stability/security updates arent needed unless situation calls for it. Ofcourse after logging out accounts & backing up your files first to the sdcard.

But others mentioned that they had wifi and BT issues (reddit, and friends)
Also it was strange that only the upload speeds were bad, so I don't think the issue was with the hardware.
