Buy a52s whi... moreThe A52s going to slow down noticably after 1 year plus it doesn't even have half the features this phone has (front stereo speakers,no notch,shutterkey ect..) I'm saying this with experience as a past Samsung user their software is what slows the phone down the hardware is fine but not too great

Why this when s23 ultra is available for £800? Buy a52s which has headphone jack and microSD, it's 95% as good as this.

As a matter of fact, their shrinking market shares reflected this, not that many users are THAT focus on photograph quality over everything else....

Fox, 29 Sep 2023I lived in Japan. I know what I'm talking about.What a great way to dismiss a bunch of solid Sony products by stating a fact that no one cares about.. They're one of the most respected brands when it comes to photography and almost every flagship smartphone you see is sporting at least one of their camera sensors.

Huge side bezels, 2 cameras - it's a clear downgrade compared to 5 mark IV. I can't understand the logic of Sony's managing team. It looks like they don't care about the sales, they just make phones for one reason - just to be on the market.

Photo Pro app has normal mode Basic that has Video/Photo button and it looks 99% the same as the competition app for photos (or stabdard Android app). When you choose Basic once, then Basic mode will be launch always when you start app (Basic mode is first mode when you first time launch phone after purchase).
Additional VideoPro, CienemaPro are extra apps for advance users (Pro mode in PhotoPro app too)

XD Tell us what is hard or not simple in... moreYes, and the moment you open up either of the three of its camera app (Photo Pro, Video Pro, Cinema Pro) you would be bombarded with controls and information in which you would need a proper camera knowledge to navigate, not all people are photographers, some people just want to snap a photo and thats it. If they make more simple UI that you are greeted with upon opening the app (With a dedicated AI adjusting everything as needed) then adding a button to switch to the more complicated manual mode (Which deactivates most of the AI) where photographers can customize the photo/video settings to their hearts desire, this would’ve made it a bit more usable for your average joe.

Sony needs to make the Xperia 1, 5, 10 lineups more standard oriented and target it towards mass consumers by perhaps changing the ratio to 20:9 so it can support fullscreen Youtube videos without the black bars, and adding a simplified mode to its camera app. The Xperia Pro lineup should be the one that is highly specialized and is only aimed at a small percentage of professional users.

Relax. In 2025 China starts produce OLED with Sony/JD eLEAP technology (litography) and Samsung (who produce OLEDs on japan Canon machines) will have to adope to new market situation. They try to buy from japan SEL similar tech but at now there is no information about progress. I know, in your world Sony should bankrupt because they gave people choice and 21:9. Its no gonna hapend.
