I am sure they all come from the same manufacturer out in china... Or else look at Ipeople - every time when iFruit comes up with a new device, half the people get it in a defective condition fresh off the box!

If you can, you can download the Dolphin Browser from the Play Store. It has an option to turn of flash player or turn it on only when it is recquired. This reduces the heating problem to an acceptable level. Trust me, you will benefit a lot from using Dolphin. I am not saying that chrome is bad, its just that it heats up the phone.

I fixed this issue by disabling a lot of useless built-in apps. Just go to settlings>Apps>All. Disabling apps like talkback, Google maps, all Timescape related apps ( check your updates manually. Saved me about 15% more battery), Google talk (if you dont use it), Twitter extension if available and voice search. I will advice you to uninstall any taskiller or battery saver you have installed from the play store. These kill more battery and slow your system down, rather than speeding it up. I did all these and my phone skyrocketed! Very pleased with the performance now :) I get around 7.5 hrs using net (with Dolphin Browser). Leaving the phone idle I got through 4 days, with texting and calling only. If you need more help about optimizing ion, you can email me at ahmearn.94@gmail.com.

I have Xperia Ion since Feb 2013. Last May 2, 2013, I just found out that the earpiece is not functioning. I brought it to MOA Xperia store to repair my phone. After 4 hrs waiting, my phone didn't fixed. The technician told me that the problem is mother board cost 16K in Phil Peso. I decided not to repair it. Next time I will not buy any Sony Smartphone.

masud, 09 May 2013how can change batteryyou can't unless you bring ut back to he Sony authorised service.com centre, they may be able to change the battery for you if that same battery is still available in the market.

I have this phone and it is good actually. The only problem is the battery; nothing else as of now. All is working fine and if you love music and wants an HD display of 4.6 then this is your phone for a very reasonable price.

i have bought one 2 weeks ago..i find the advantages that it has a great display,processor..but it has huge disadv tat charge is draining very quickly & also found camera quality not so good which is usually sony reknown for..:(..do any owners find the same opinion..
