Still using my old Xperia J in Sept 2024 BUT 3G cut off imminent. SP (Three Hutchinson) advised I must buy new 4/5G phone to continue using their network. True I can't much use internet on it; no longer acts like a smartphone! But still good for...

Yeah that’s because Sony uses their update centre, Sony removed the services for I think it was android 5.0 and above and now uses android’s updater
