Nice phone but hangs alot due to low RAM It has RAM of 384 MB only not of 512 MB as given in specifications.

i like its design and easy to hold. but you need a lot of patience to handle this phone. very slow response. proximity sensor not working properly. Worst touch screen. never ever buy this phone. just keep it if you get this for free...

Fantastic design. From hands own experience, i wudn't recommend this phone. The speakers are loud enough, bravia engine and a sleek design. Tests the patience of the user at times with amazingly slow response. On the whole, the screen clarity, sound and design are the only positives with disappointing performance.

I like design and battey life was very good. Corilla glas is ok. Other thing - bad phone.
Software - it hanging very badly 2-3 times durin the week.
During the phonetalk loudspeaker turn its self on and
and other side didnt hear me. If I wait about minute, phone make restart after that automatically. But if I want to end phonecall, must take battery off.
After restart, all ringtone changed.
Sometimes phone show network, but call didnt come in.
Afrer restart everything workind again.
Very bad things.

Any download application saved in internal memory but not in our choice ie either sd card or internal memory. If internal memory was full then the new application can't download and give a message not enough space.. Iam very dispoint with this phone

The virtual keyboard is a pain in the as. Right when im typing something it just vanishes. I click the box where im typing and it doesnt appear again. How am I suppose to finish typing? It lags like crazy and cant load a website without crashing. Stupid pop up saying 'maps have stopped working' over and over, foad stupid phone. Just wanna smash this pos to the ground I hate it so much I hate this phone!

You dont understand maybe, but android has predefined ram memory size, so 386mb ram stay for user (applications). It is a case with every phone, not for this only. This phone is not good in mid range, really.

Not so good phone...........but quite useable phone in mid range price.
Little battery n memory problem...
Company says it has 512 mb ram......but it has 386mb ram only....

Prone to have network problems. My Xperia J does not receive any signal for my sim which works perfectly well on other handphones. Sending it to the sony center to replace the antenna did not resolve the problem either. In short, do not buy this phone unless you want to end up with a hand phone that you can only use as a mid range camera.

I have used the xperia j for a few months. Good phone, battery and sound. BUT too little memory and storage space minimal. Even with an added mini SD, many apps must install to phone only. I suggest you uninstall most of the factory apps, then disable auto update in google play. Why? Many of the factory apps are bloatware. For example, many apps are only 1-5 mb but they update themselves and expand to 50mb. After 24 hrs of use the phone became sluggish and unresponsive. After I removed many apps and only updated the apps I regularly use, phone came back to life. As well, remove flashy widgets.
Camera very poor in low light. Great sound with Walkman app. Great display and colours.
Bottom line, it is a very good low to mid range phone.
