Having not owned a Sony phone since 2007.I've recently tried the Huawei Ascend Y300 budget, the Samsung S4 Mini and now this Sony.
I was impressed by the spec of the Xperia range and picked a brand new Xperia 'L' up from Gumtree. The phone is lightweight and feels good in the hand making it easy to use with one hand also. The screen is responsive to the touch and apps open quickly.I can't believe it's half the price of the S4 mini !
I like the removable battery and memory card slot and also the sound quality and walkman functions are pretty good too. I think the Xperia range are excellent, but I have to say I'm not impressed with the battery life as already picked up on by other users. The 1750ma battery drains very quickly indeed with minor wifi or data internet or GPS usage. Thats even with Stamina mode switched on.If your out on a journey be sure to buy a car charger.
For the price and features I'd say this phone is way better than the Huawei Ascend Y300 in a lot of ways. It certainly gives the Samsung S4 Mini a good run for its money well and truly as I have this phone too and there isn't much in it between the two, software and feature wise.
If Sony can sort out the quick battery drain problem for this model and any other Xperia model. This is a definite must bargain buy, a hidden gem for the budget mobile phone buyer.

my phone was 100% charged..without any app usage,wi fi or net pack or calls atending just a mere usage of may be collectively half an hour my phone battery drained completely....and it becomes tooo hot...someone please help

No bravia engine in Sony xperia l but in Sony xperia p. Should I buy Sony xperia p or Sony xperia l. As Sony xperia p has more hd video recording, high ppi, Mali 400 etc and Sony xperia l has more newer engine, slightly bigger screen and what can I say krait and adreno processing units. Please tell me

That was only the 1st list, sony may subsequently announce furthur devices that may get updated to 4.3..! So wait.. dont rush onto the conclusion.. Sony now-a-days started to provide more updates than before

[deleted post]Go for xperia l i think its better than Lumia 720. M also a user of Xperia l. Its working fine dear and here is advantages of xperia l over Numia 720 more ram 1 gb against 512 Mb, Large display, More Megapixel Camara 8Mp against 6.2Mp Touch is nice. so go for Xperia L as per my view. But its a matter of choice buddy. so u decide which one u want. good luck

boss, 10 Aug 2013no dear.., I hv same problem too. but after clearing cache... morethere's nooo need to reset your phone .... whenever you clear cache of your album ....click on "clear data" tooo ... this will help you to view your albums :) ......reply me
