8 gb total flash storage.
- 5.6 gb is "free" for the user.u can install apps or store ur media content in this area.previously this area was also divided into two parts.one for app storage only and one for media contents only.now it's unified.so u can store whatever u want in it now which gives u more room to install apps as opposed to earlier sony devices that had a fixed 2 gb allocation for app storage.
- the remaining area beside that 5.6 gb is for the system and is locked.it is where the OS is installed(the preinstalled OS itself takes about 1.2 gb) as well as the preloaded sony specific and other popular apps/bloatware (which vary from region to region).some area is also free in this locked partition but not accessible to the user.it is meant for updates(since updates usually take more space than original).

Secondly while going through the whit... moreIt's not written in the language that i understand but i am guessing that the 1.5 gb of partition that u r talking about is the "system storage" - the space where the Android OS is preinstalled.this part is locked for the user.the 5.6 gb partition is a separate thing for storing ur installed apps or media.
I don't think white paper can go wrong.we'll find out soon enough about that.

sorry to inform man, but still L has got 1.5GB of phone memory to install apps followed by internal memory of 5.8GB.

Sony has improved it's flash storage management as well.
Previously the app installation was limited to 2 gb only on it's highend phones.even on xperia p that had 11 gb user available space(out of total 16 gb) only 2 gb was for apps.rest space was for media flies only.
Now they've removed that restriction.
U can install apps on all the 5.6 gb free space(out of 8 gb) on the xperia l.and there's an sd card expansion too.

inr 18k for this is truly expensive...Its SONY after all with crap software issues..also its replacement to xp U which was cheaper...also reading its codename c210x theres no cheaper phone expect xperia E in its booth...so it literally cant be expensive...Regarding 8 mp camera its been midrange mainstream like earlier 5mp ones(see lg htc also made low mid range 8mp phone...maybe 8mp sensors have become cheaper..nd ovious coz high end have move to 12mp) SO THIS SHOULD NOT BE EXPENSIVE

Xperia L has bigger screen, no idea about pricing :-D

Sony xperia is the best, but why sony xperia just work on android os? Why sony xperia not with windows os (not windows phone)? Many people wait for them in Q2 on this year.

i think it's over price... compared with xperia j without see chipset and RAM maybe xperia J is better with low price.

sony launched xperia sp in india for 27k, xperia l is also coming soon to rival lumia 720 and price should be 18k. love u sony

The price is around 16.2k without tax in Uk.
In india, vat is 12%
So the price will be under 17.5 k
Unlike UK where the tax makes it 19k.
Expect release in May.
