The M4 Aqua is nothing but trouble. Barely a single feature is reliable - I lose cal history every few days, the touch screen is intermittently responsive, and now I can only hear calls by switching to speaker - otherwise it is silent!! Wish I'd never bought it, and all Three do is get me to do a factory reset, which doesn't work!

So hey guys, i need a little help here. Is marshmallow update available in the Philippines? Cause everytime I check it manually it says that software is up to date. Any info what to do?

The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua qite frankly is a waste of money. I bitterly resent purchasing mine, an 8 GB version jam packed full to the hilt with indelible pooware.
Of the 8 gigabytes that come with the phone, only 822 megabytes remain unallocated. This means that if I install more than 50 meg of apps, music, etc, the device can't even update itself.
Build quality is fine. It's not ugly. Support is OK. However the device is crippled by parsimonious allocation of hardware resources and the inclusion of 4 gigs of "sony family" pooware. Give us a break Sony, the average user could not give a rat's dropping marinaded in weazel vomit about the "Sony experience" minus two million stars.

UK user here. This phone is excellent for the price. I am a casual user who uses it for browsing and messaging, but not for gaming and is quite good. It has a sufficent battery life and good speaker for out and about use such as music. As of overheating, its not a big problem as it is made out to be, and for anyone choosing to buy this phone, i would say go ahead

Almost... moremine too...if i tried download an app, always insufficient storage...but i cleared data of FACEBOOK, MESSENGER and more..and also i uninstall the updates.... then i download AVG CLEANER to clean the cache...and its better now...but u have to clear data ur facebook and messenger even sometime...
but the heating issue, especially when i use video call is still the same...huhuhu

I've had nothing but trouble with my Sony Xperia M4. Almost immediately it started saying insufficient memory. I bought a micro card with 16gb on it so loads of memory I moved my pictures and apps I'd down loaded to the micro card and it still says insufficient memory to download any new apps so I can't use Facebook or play music as there's not enough space! It over heats constantly and I don't have a front camera icon so it won't take selfies. I was excited when I got this now I'm disappointed unfortunately I'm tied in to a 2 year contract or I'd change it. I've been back to EE they said take it home link to laptop do a factory reset etc. Tried everything still no good. They won't take it back and swap it but they are now sending it away for repair. However I'm now phone less until I get it back in the next 2-3 weeks. Don't buy this phone it's rubbish in my opinion and just gives you stress!

Lol Today when I connected the phone to Xperia Companion , I received an update it was android 6.0.1 im from Romania and my model is 2303. I can not believe after all this time finally android 6 its here on my phone.

Just use it as you do that with any other fragile device. There is no waterproof retail product in market. Except for military kinds and Military kind products are very expensive and not for retail sale. in most cases it might be not allowed to have one too.

M4 is superb... But after i put it to water (clear water , under in only 3 feet) , now it speaker is in low sound ... why??
