I have a QMobile noir z12 it is 5.3 inch large black screen gesture's are great and the display is amoled but it is 720p.Octa core 1.3 3gb ram slim & beautiful design I've never used a Sony xperia phone should I upgrade

battery is a big issue power drains quickly, signal quality is worse than my samsung core prime which was great, otherwise good phone so far after 2 weeks ?????

Hey Bro, calm down. Sony said they replace, so they will for sure..u gonna get a M5/Z5 in replacement. Keep calm and Trust Sony.
u r worried for 24k, just think if u had purchased from other online/offline brands..then what might have ur condition.
Personally i use Z5 since past 7 months no issue and brother had C4, HE GOT IT REPLACED BY SONY WITH Z5. Trust me Sony rocks..its better to b bit late , than nothing.

I purchased sony xperia m5 on april first week after completion of just one month the said mobile is automatically shutdown and would not start since long time for one day after that now the mobile is completely non operating condition and the sony service center authorities were said that the problem is non reparable and set to be replaced and it will take 8 to 10 days, so till time they will not provide any alternative handsets for temporary use. invest more than 24000/- for mobile and facing such type of problems and also the company has not solve the problems, I request to all not to purchase sony mobiles please,

I'm also with Vodacom, but would like to get a Sony phone, as I'm trying to avoid Samsung as much as I can. Was thinking of getting a Huawei P8, but there's something that draws me to Sony. My wife has had her Samsung Galaxy S4 for three years, and only now it's starting to lag a bit, still, I don't like Samsung for some reason.
You might have gotten a phone that was in a bad batch, it happens with almost every phone brand. I got myself a Nokia Lumia 900 in 2012, and a few people on gsmarena were complaining about the phone, although I had no issues with it.

This handset really sucks and I will never buy another Sony after this. I got this phone for two reasons, apparently it is fairly rugged and water resistant, and small enough to slide into my breast pocket. Also it had FM radio and a memory card slot, which some of the Samsung models don't have. Within a few days the speaker stopped working and I reloaded the factory software, after seeking advice on the internet. The speaker worked again for only one day. I returned the handset to Vodacom for repairs and it came back after an excessive 17 working days. The speaker worked for 3 days then shut down again. I discovered that all the Vodacom workshop did was reload the factory software. Back it went. Vodacom agreed to lend me a handset while mine was being repaired (a Samsung A3 that works like a dream). After two weeks in the workshop, Vodacom gave me a refund on my Sony. The other problem I had was WiFi connectivity. For some reason, the handset would not connect to certain WiFi routers. I am now going back to Samsung which is totally reliable.

Umix, 22 Jun 2016What color did you get?My xperia m5 dual has shut down after 3 hours of system update over wifi network connection.after the update it was making hang sometimes when I was using it.it is still in death.
I went to the sony customer center.they said that there is no solution known to them,sony is working about the system update problem.
What may be the solution?

Have any one tries to turn off mobile data or internet and use wifi instead. Does auto shutdown occur when you do this on xperia m5.
