I have read because of weather widget problem, so I remove the widget, until now my phone don't have auto shutdown issue anymore..

Sage, 28 Nov 2015This phone [M5] has good specs for its price, but it's usel... moreI experienced the same problem before. Try pressing the volume up and power button at once until the phone vibrates. It will reset the phone. The guy at the sony service center told me that i should let at least 5 full charging cycles, meaning, the phone must reach until 30% then have it full charged (don't) use it while charging. Do it at least 5 times. This procedure conditions new battery. I haven't experienced the same issue after that.

Bought m5 2 days ago, the rear camera auto focus is not working. Front camera was working perfectly fine though. The phone got heated up easily, the battery life is not that good. The pros: awesome design, great build quality, great sound, great display.
So I brought it back to the store and ask for a replacement. Sadly, they don't have any m5 in stock at that moment. So I was going to downgrade to c5 but the store won't give me refund for my money. So I ended up paying more and exchange it with galaxy a8.

I'm using m5 a week now.. I don't experience shutdown issues. Just the overheating problem. I hope it gets fixed with the next update I love my phone

I just bought my m5 last week..and when I fill the slot for the 2nd Sim..when I dialed the *121# for Smart here in the Philippines.. a window pop up and it says unfortunately Com.android.phone has stopped.. What I'm I supposed to do?!

I went to the store... morei heard the same thing on the guys selling xperias here in sm muntinlupa. on the first batch they said they got at least five buyers returning with their m5, on the second batch none at the moment. if you really like the m5 i'd suggest waiting a month or two until they clear their old stocks

Mine also have the same issue, suddenly shut down and I have to connect the charger in order to turn it on, lagging and heating problem. But after I done the hard reset method, it works..!! Been using it for 3 weeks after the hard reset and so far no problem. Just follow the steps in the link. http://www.hardreset.info/devices/sony/sony-xperia-m5-e5653/
# third method - Install PC companion (Sony) then reinstall the firmware.

Dont buy m5 sony mobile it having over heating problem and dont trust on service centre. They have open service centre to make fool to people

I'll te... moreThis phone [M5] has good specs for its price, but it's useless as it keeps shutting down the first few weeks I've had it and now it won't turn on anymore. Not reliable at all for a phone. Heading to Sony Philippines soon for this issue. And also, this keeps on overheating, auto focus won't focus on the "touched" area often even on manual settings, and battery doesn't even last a day as put in the specs. Bummer.

just bought sony m5 dual about a month..Screen freezing with tiny lines and turned off. Then keep restarting and temperature of phone increase. Same things happened and repeated. Will go to sony service centre soon. Really regret buying sony and never ever buy this brand again. So regret. For the first time in my life feeling this bad after bought a handphone. Please buy another brand my friends.

We can never really tell unless they show us proper documents right? I wish they had a money back guarantee even for just a week. Maybe I will just have wait for mate 8 or just consider LG G4 instead?

i have m5 after one moth have problem in screen show thin line still my phone in company they not return my phone they are worst service an still say phone in under process . the sony customer service is too bad no one buy sony phones

I'd pay for a trouble-free phone any day. You cannot imagine the trouble you need to live with the M5. On some days it's almost as good as brick.

Guys need your opinions about this one. I went to the store in manila. The guys there said they are already selling the second batch or M5s and so far theye are not getting any more complains about the camera, shutdown and heating issues. Thet said that the first batch were the problematic ones. What do you think guys?
