i just bought it 3days ago.It is clearly a good phone, except for the battery,it drains so quickly,well..it is an android right(popular for it poor battery). For a solution,i have download some battery saver application from play store plus lower it brightness and disable data traffic whenever i not use it and problem solved,it can survive a little bit longer.

Disagree with the last opinion... Unlike other users I find d this phone with a tremendous battery capacity! I can achieve at least one day and a half with moderate usage, a couple of calls and Internet. Did you upgrade to the ICS?? If you use with auto brightness and eco usage and often killing unnecessary apps in background. I achieved almost 2 full days which for any standard phone nowadays is rather impressive!
Nice job Sony, hope you keep up the good work with jb.

Looks astonishingly fabulous. Music output is top notch. Aluminium back makes it strong, yet it looks so delicate that you'll hardly take any chances and will take extra care in advance - which is worth the looks.
OS can be upgraded to ICS. Plus the additional sony's interface is amazing. The themes are just magical.
Call quality is normal. Internet speed is better than the other phones in this price.
The best part is the display, its more than amazing - watch movies, or view images, or play games, this one leaves no stones unturned.
The inbuild capacity is around 16gigs which as per me is good enough. You don't play all the games all together, once you are bored with a game uninstall and get a new one. If the garbage is collected properly, space shouldn't be an issue.
The RAM, 1GB - again if the garbage is collected properly, even this is not an issue, my phone has never hung, nor any app had faced a slow down yet. But to get this performance I regularly stop the unwanted services and kill running processes that are not required.
The worst part - Battery. This one part can make you dislike this wonderful device. It requires charging atleast 2 times in a day. So if you travel a lot or are away from an electric source for entire day and are a decent user with 1-2 hours calling, an hour of internet browsing with 24*7 sync on you email and chat accounts, be sure that you'll end up with a dead battery before you reach home at the end of the day. There are many ways to reduce battery consumption, but its a drop in the ocean.
Being aware of the battery issue I yet chose this phone because the other tremendous features cannot be side lined just because of battery - I use a travel charger. The saviour is the original sony charger, it actually fuels up the phone to 100% within an hour. Hence its worth going for this phone if you don't mind shelling some extra bucks on a travel charger.

Mini Motor lag when there are lots of cars and graphic effects, but it lags on faster CPU&GPU, so you probably need top-class smartphone for lag-free gaming.

Games can be transfered to Internal memory without problems, only utilities (that run during Xperia P power-up) and widgets won't run properly if not installed on Phone memory (2GB).

FYI This post is written on Xperia P (SI 1262-0930 - S/N CB511Z1UMD) - visible under the plastic cap beneath transparent strip.

I have GTA Vice City, NFS Most Wanted, Shadowgun, Modern Combat 4 and lots of apps installed in my Internal Memory in my Xperia P. That's more than 9GB in total. Now explain what you have said that only 2GB of memory can be used for apps in Internal Memory? LOL. Go buy an Xperia P before posting such misleading posts.. XD

Personally I don't think it's a big deal if u update ur phone or not. I haven't (because of some bad reviews). Anyway, good luck with ur HTC I still find SONY much more superior than HTC or Samsung.

Only top-class smartphones (with top-class prices) with large battery cappacity might last for a day between charges.

With Xperia P you can expect 5-6 hours of constant gameplay or web surfing, same as any other smartphone in this price group. Xperia P was notorious for short battery lifevon standby, but they sorted it out with ICS update.

LOL!!How do u call me Samsung fan whereas I am using an Xperia P and ur comment is irrelevant, so I don't care! This is the utter truth! Dead end for Xperia P! Sony sucks anyway owning a Samsung toy is much better at least I will get my updates on time n won't be deceived by lies n my phone will be smooth have u noticed how laggy the Sony's homescreen is compared to Touchwiz homescreen?. Their updates r filled with bugs n r slow! All the other companies like HTC, Samsung, LG, Motorola all those who were promised for JB update got updated... But Sony as always the last one! I am DONE WITH SONY! Nxt phone will be HTC.
