Still have not played with the phone, so cannot comment too much.
Regarding Samsung, Ace 2 and S Advanced are much cheaper than Xperia P. So it may be better to spend a little more money and get a GS2, thoroughly tested and improved for more than a year now.

What Samsung phone? The two Samsung phones that are the same size are the Ace 2 and the S Advance, they fit 40 to 50% less rgb subpixels into that same physical size. I call that the opposite of compact. Good luck looking at web pages with your 50% less rgb subpixels.

Never ever buy this phone. Battery life is bad. Can never last you for a full day. Without WiFi and 3G.

After seeing the phone in real i am disappointed. The plastic bottom cap is just ugly, and the phone is quite thick. Too much space wasted on the front, could have been much smaller. Back to Samsung...or maybe they could bring the nice SX but i doubt it...

IMPORTANT
When reading the review battery results remember that the screen is far brighter than other phones. At the tested 50% level setting the Xperia P is 50% brighter than a Galaxy S2 and 100% brighter than a Sensation.
The Xperia P battery should actually outlast the Galaxy S2 both on phone calls and on web browsing. It's just poor testing and display of results that are deceptive.

i almost always put my S Note on 0% brightness so I imagine that with the P, you can make it last longer than tested ....

There in the gpu is adreno 205 and internal usable is 11 gb only.

The phone is great, and according to you guys it battery doesn't last long but again according to you guys it's screen doesn't need to be set on 50% at all so it must and will last longer with lower brightness especially for me, I use my desire on the lowest brightness possible in doors.

for those thinking of buying a new sony NXT (S / P and U) and are concerned with the speaker sound so do not buy because the sound sucks,
tried them all and the sound of the xperia arc s is better

I had two of these delivered yesterday (silver and black). The hardware is absolutely amazing and is up there with the iPhone in terms of build quality. However, unlike the iPhone, it's let down by the slow/jerky/laggy software. All in all, a beautifully crafted device but would be better with something like iOS or Windows Phone instead.
