galaxy sII in the market right now is i9100g, which is far inferior than original sII. So dont go for that, Its a eyewash from samsung, they are cheating with this.

Do not compare this phone with SGS2, cause SGS2 is a high end phone, beside the design of Xperia P kinda chubby...i still recomended SGS2 than this phone....

The aluminium body and White Magic Technology are just an exculpation for the over-exaggerated and unjustifiable price. The phone clearly is a mid-range one and not a high-end phone. And no one in their right mind would shell out such huge bucks for a mid-range phone. Needless to say, just a couple of thousand bucks more would get you an Xperia S, a high-end phone!

Anonymous, 20 May 2012please correct the GPU. its not mali-400. its age old adren... moreDownload the latest version (version 2 dated April '12) of whitepaper (detailed spec sheet) from Sony global website. They have corrected the mistake in it. What you are reading is version 1 of February '12. Check it yourself in new document. GPU is Mali-400.
Also, NovaThor chipset by ST ERICSSON doesnt support Adreno 205 or any other GPU expect Mali 400. So it cant have that GPU.

Yes Samsung have said they have gone back to pentile on teh S3 as the S2 style screen degrades too fast (the problem is the blue pixels).
hey but those out of the box S2 reviews would have been fantastic, enjoy.
This is a much more premium phone than an S2 so you can't compare price. At 217ppi the S2 internet browsing will be very poor for reading text etc in comparison to the Xperia P. The Xperia P has more pixels and is still a smaller phone. That's better tech.
So if you want a cheap phone buy an S2
