Grishm, 20 May 2012I'm not surprised with Sony's pricing of INR 25000 for this... moreLet me correct you man!
This phone is made up of genuine aluminium unibody along with a design which makes it feel premium. It also has mobile Bravia engine and xLoud technology from Sony which makes video and audio experience more pleasurable. Whitemagic technology makes display twice brigter. Sony's timescape UI is more eye candy and functional and offers lot deeper social network integration than Touchwiz on SII.
What are the advantages of SII? nothing expect processor and bigger display. Whats the use of it when Xperia P has enough juice to even run Android Jelly Bean?
SII is like BMW engine in tata nano..! period!
Xperia P is latest in town, nice design, sturdy body, latest Sony technologies and what not. Its a lot more complete and up to date package for 2012. Price of 25K is well justified by all these things and it will fall to less than 22K within 3-4 months and by that time, SII will be completly outdated where Xperia P will have at least 1 year more lifecycle remaining.

I'm not surprised with Sony's pricing of INR 25000 for this phone. Sony comes up with outdated specs and yet charges a premium. When compared with Samsung Galaxy S II's price of INR 26000, this phone comes as a bummer. A price around INR 20000 for this phone would have been a runaway deal.

The phone was launched in India. I just visited a Sony Experience store and they have got the live piece for demo and opened up the bookings. Delivery in next week. Estimated price would be 24,500 which is just marginally less than SGS2 in India and hence, Xperia P, according to me, isnt a great buy as compared to specs of SGS2. Had the price been around 20k,it would have been an instant hit. Sony once again makes the same mistake. Lags the market in technology and yet charges a premium for i dont what reason.

Why some of you guys compare the Xperia P with the Samsung Galaxy S2? The S2 is a high-end phone, the Xperia P a mid-range. Also the price of the Xperia P is still more than 100 euro cheaper! So isn't it obvious that some specs of the S2 are better? And S2 it's not better on each area.

                              Xperia P has:
                              - a more actractive design
                              - a higher resolution screen
                              - aluminium body
                              - white magic technologie
                              - NFC
                              - ...

80% of the Samsung phones has always the same design since 5 years ago. It's getting soooo borring! Sony phones have more attractive designs and there more up to date. So I definitively go for Sony!
                              (sorry for my English)

Its obvious for the price of Sony Xperia p to be lower than 25k cuz as u all guyz knw the xperia p's big brother xperia s which is overall winner except looks as compared to xperia p is price somewhat between 29k-30k in local markets or can be even less.......So guys its a gud thing and thumb's up to all xperia p buyer....and i'm d one of dem
