Joca, 08 May 2012Ok, I'm sorry to say I have changed my mind about this phon... moreHmmm, well that did not sound good :( i was so hoping for it to stay alive for 1 day or 1 1/2 at lest. Well im going to wait for the battery test at GSM arena, if it looks bad im going for Xperia U or Sola, and if those have bad battery then i just have to take the HTC One S, even if its way too big... :(

try not using skype and c if that makes a difference

Does the screen look washed out at all?
I wonder too if you're battery problem is a phone network reception issue with the device. Try turning off data, synching and network individually for periods of time and see what happens.
Also, what does it say is using up your battery when you look at the battery stats?

Really disappointing if the battery is that bad. Such a poor selection of compact phones now. I am going to stick with my defy+ until something decent comes along.
Will wait till all phones are on ics to compare anyway.

I'm very much interested in buying this phone and this is a very bad opinion about the phone :(
Please try charging it for 8hrs one more time...please

hope that you try some tweaks (as brightness to minimum etc) and find a way to this problem
but anyway i asked an iphone user about its battery he said it stays for only one day
it was bad thing to hear that from you as sony (previously se) was always known for its good batteries and i have used both z520 and w995 and their batteriews are superb.
also one point to mention but hope that u think well whether to return it or not, they sometimes say that update of ics will improve battery but i am not sure about that , so think well and decide

I love it but after having it for 2 days, I'm VERY disappointed with the battery, it drained 30% after 8 hours of no use at night. I didn't forget to charge it for 12 hours, and I will do that two more times, if it doesn't get any better it's going back to store. I also put it in power save mode, I turned off all of the applications I could, deleted the ones I didn't need, I barely used it today except for checking facebook and mail, and a few minutes of chatting on skype, and it still didn't last one whole day. I love everything else about this phone but I don't think I can handle this battery problem...

and please give us details about the battery and try the battery in different conditions as heavy use one time and another time just standby and normal phone calls and tell us in each time time the battery performance
by the way don't forget to charge the battery for the 1st time for 8-10 hours and don't use it at that time.

its a great phone but way overpriced,they need to rethink there strategy, i might go for galaxy s 2

Got my xperia p yesterday! I live in China, they've started selling them here. I love it but the battery does suck, like everyone's already predicted. The resolution is great! Much better than iphone 4, my husband's jealous! :)

The last Sony Ericsson phones (Ray, LWW, Mini,...) were great phones, and quite cheap too. Obviously since now it is only Sony, they are going back to their old expensive pricing from the 90's where Sony thought they could ask any price they want because they were the best. Except that now Samsung and HTC are there...
