There is great article about it on xda-developers forum. Basically you have to disable all Google location services and remove Maps from start-up, and uninstall all apps that waste stand-by time by waking up phone for nothing.

Upin, 07 Jun 2013did this fone have a video call or 3g call?Video calls are performed with 3rd party apps. 3G is not related to video calling but to data transfer.

AnonD-147621, 07 Jun 2013Is the battery on Xperia P really so bad or it's good enoug... moreBattery is not so bad, but user habits, and Android handling of power saving is, but it's nothing special.

Battery will usually last from 4-5 hours (intensive non-stop gaming or WiFi/3G web browsing) to 3 days (couple calls per day, 30 minutes of WiFi browsing, proper setting for DeepSleep-in), but for regular users you can expect one day of use.

You can read more about battery on other pages of this 'forum'.

Repair last about the same as update, so let's say it's about 7-8 minutes including first boot.

Only system data, user settings and files outside of \sdcard folder will be deleted, but you can backup entire memory (including \sdcard) just to be safe.

AnonD-153284, 07 Jun 2013non removable battery , does it matters, and what about JB... moreNo it doesn't matter, if you are regular user. Only some people who are accustomed to have two batteries and replace them when run out of battery. After two years you will probably have another smartphone.

Lot's of peoples already updated to JB, nothing revolutionary happened. :-)

gal, 07 Jun 2013What do u mean that no need to install antivirus or task ki... moregal,

                                This is how things works:

Anti-viruses do protect you from viruses, but it's fact that there are not so many viruses for Android (compared to PC system), also, there is less chance of getting infected (especially if your phone is not rooted, and majority isn't).

On the other hand, anti-virus spends valuable processor time and battery capacity since it works in background, so it slows down your phone, and makes your battery miserable.

When you count in all the goods, and all the beds, combined with how seldom some Android smartphone gets infected, it's clearly that arguments are in favor of not installing anti-virus.

As for the task-killers and battery management apps, sure you can get some system app for controlling tasks, start-ups, processes and events, but avoid task killers that generally stays in background and enables you to free unused part of RAM or kill suspended processes because they too drain battery for nothing, majority of these apps is for older Android versions, so you won't need them on JellyBean.

Battery management was badly needed on GingerBread (talking about Xperia P), but now with ICS and JB, there is no need for it.

Finally for any major upgrade (different OS versions) it would be best to backup phone, do factory reset, update to new OS version, and restore data.

Of course, it's not mandatory to do this, but this way you make sure that no program or settings from previous OS version will make some trouble.

AnonD-152760, 06 Jun 2013i will try this repair feature later today or tomorrow and ... moreDo repair, and it's mandatory to do 2-3 full cycles (first battery charging after update must last 3 hours min., after that don't charge it until battery goes under 10%, then charge all the way up to 100%, and once more).

Other problem with sudden drop in battery level is not necessarily software related, it actually points to possible battery calibration error (happens usually when you don't do full cycle, described before, and system doesn't charge battery correctly). This usually happens on battery that is charged to lower then 100% while system detects it as 100%. So when using smartphone extensively battery suddenly loose capacity, and if you go on stand-by and turn screen on after 5-10 minutes, you will see spike up, as if it was charged for a couple minutes.

BTW This cro in nick means: Hrvatska?
