The Xperia P performance is great. Has all the apps a person wants and expected. The major reason i brought it. The start out apps is great. The price seems great for US 250 dollars, Doesn't have a SD-card slot. Not a big deal with 16 GB of storage. The iphones does not have it either. What else do you expect from a phone for a great price?
But after using the phone for Google maps with GPS. OH BOY! The battery basically disappears every time you look at the screen. Going out on a 4 hr trip and back. your battery lvl will be about 35%. So don't be expect to play games and travel with this cell phone. You will barely make it out the store and back to your hotel. Unless you have access to power continuously. Than stay away from this phone. BTW you can't carry a spare battery it is a sealed unit like IPHONEs.

Go to settings>mobile networks>network mode and select gsm only.
This would definitely increase your stand by time.
It worked for me,.hope it works for you too.

Sadly still JB is not available for everyone in India. I doubt i have to wait for a long..

I have recently bought an Xperia P . I am not at all satisfied with the battery life. At full charge in the night it finished in the morning , generally the battery is on for only an hour as stated otherwise

You will find appropriate .ftf file, download link for Flashtool, and all instructions needed (for Flashtool you might look at somr older topic regarding ICS flashing).
