I mean u may as well buy the note 20 ultra 5G one that’s so much better it’s cheaper and has better specs I mean I won’t say the the note 20 ultra is cheap but if you these two phones then u see a HUGE difference in price point

MKBHD has a video about this phone.
So the price 2050 EUR is reasonable.
This Sony phone can attached to Sony DSLR and you can record the best 4K video,
AND you can directly upload that video with 5G from the phone, so excellent for live streaming ever.
Helpful only for reporters, live streamers, and another professional. Not to useful for ordinary people

Definitely this is not a phone for everyone. It's true that this phone is unique. No other phones were made like this before. This phone is targeting slice of market for people or professional who are not think twice for more than 2,000 EUR. I am happy with my phone. Perhaps I can buy up to five decent phones with that money. This phone is too expensive. I am not a professional photographer, sorry, I will not buy this Xperia Pro. By the way, 1 cm thickness is too thick like a brick.

Thinking on it a bit more, I'd like to retract some of my previous opinion. I think for the price it can be worth it for the specific demographic, which to be fair is what a lot of people are arguing for already. Average consumers like me won't find any advantage to this hardware, and justify it less from the price, but I can see the justification in this for a professional user. I still think it's an investment in convenience, but the right kind of convenience for the right kind of person.
Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, just jumping to conclusions too quickly and suffering the consequences for it 🙆♂️

Mobxpert, 28 Jan 2021Please also look at the price at the bottom of the specs.Just saying, average (professional) people or firms purchase a piece of complete professional equipment is above 7000+ USD, and their high salaries or income compensate that expenses. 2500 USD for a 4-in-1 professional smartphone (a smartphone, a modem, an external monitor, and an encoder) for them, is a bargain and can as a substitute device. Yes, I know, "normal users" like us aren't going to buy this after all, but at least Sony knows its target markets for this device. Mr.Mobile even pay a visit here and posted 10+ comments in the article of Xperia Pro to explain and reply to the commenters to this "highly sophisticated technical device" thing.
