Check the prices of Xperia across all markets they are sold.
Similar prices that vary according to local currency.
The 5iii is $1000 is USA, you will never find same 5iii being sold for $1800, $2100 or $2200 in other markets.
Apple and Samsung do this. They know people keep buying no matter what.

But tbh even 2 years from now it's gonna be a horrible purchase. Since 888 phones get uncomfortably hot under load, (thanks to Samsung's terrible node) with increasing performance demands, the amount of time the phone will need to be uncomfortably hot will increase. Battery life will also be worse as a result. Whereas phones with chips with properly optimized nodes will remain cooler in those (again, more frequent) unideal conditions.
