anyone having problems playing dead trigger in their xperia s?
my gameplay is smooth no lags
but their appears to be some graphical hitches
some textures of the zombies' clothes seem to look....transparent/translucent
I tried taking a screenshot but the screen registers normal textures
it seems the problem occurs only when I move around in my character

It said the phone with extra durability and the spec is the same about Scratch Resistant Glass.
Because of my experience problem with the screen, I can doubt that the Xperia Go still has poor scratch resistant glass too! So be careful ! Do not BELIEVE it.

One of the big merits of this phone over other Android smart phones is that it does not have to be rooted in order to install ICS rom before the official update released by the each SI number. There are already Swiss and German generic version of ICS with firmware version 452 or a newly leaked UK version of ICS with firmware number 453. I have installed the version 453 using flashtool 9.0 and the procedure is just simple. Sony released pre-rooted ICS rom for user to download, unlike other leaked rom from the XDA-developer which required a rooted device. Good job Sony.

I was no doubt about Sony about scratch resistant glass so I just put it into my pocket without worried. And I regret it, I should doubt it for the first time when I bought it.. Ugh :(

About pre-applied screen protector, Yes there is pre-applied screen protector but I didn't know it until you guys mentioned it.
So I can say:
The function of pre-applied screen protector is to PROTECT the scratch resistant glass. I'm sorry, it sounds FUNNY to me.
Maybe the Gorilla Glass is too humble to say their product as Scratch Proof Glass than Scratch Resistant Glass.

I own the galaxy nexus and as u know nexus has Super Amoled HD with 316ppi and Sony xperia s has TFT LCD back light with 342ppi. Nexus Super Amoled HD has more contrast and richest color than Xperia s Bravia engine but it looks kind a bit weakness due to the Super Amoled technology that has more contrast and real black. Over all Xperia s has more sharper and more realistic color than Super Smoked HD, but the the white looks too white on xperia s.

i loved the phone and am will... more I have been using SXS for over 3 months and I can assure you that it has one of the best screens out there! I saw the video link and understand your concern.
First, the video has been shot from an angle, and SXS screen doesn't have such great viewing angle (worsened by the pre-installed screen protector) like SAMOLED or IPS display & hence its colours appear to be washed out in this case.
Second, the video camera can be caliberated wrt a particular display (to be shown as neutral) thereby showing one to be better than others (which in this case seems to be well caiberated for HOX).
Third, sony bravia engine actually does work, but only while viewing videos or photos (if enabled) enhancing the contrast/colour vibrance, which unfortunately doesn't seem to work in the current ICS build by sony.

I say, don't belive me or the videos, just check out the Xperia S screen yourself at local demo stores and believe what you see!

Scratch Resistant doesn't mean Scratch Proof. Just remember that when a scratch turns up on any phone. I dropped the Sony and it went scooting across the ground face down... Case dented bad and screen minor scratchs. Dropped my Samsung in a similar manor. Case fine screen no scratchs. I guess Scratch Resistant glass vs Gorilla Glass.

any SXS user please advice
i loved the phone and am willing to buy it, BUT i watched few videos reviewing the phone and i think it really has a big problem with the display. it seems like its not giving the right colors of the thing in reality,the colors seems too bright comparing with other phones !! is that true ?

The Camera quality (esp. that of the video) is much improved with the latest ICS update(.453 UK), and the focus is quicker now. Also, the battery life has improved. Overall, ICS update on SXS is great, the phone is actually faster wrt GB, but i still have the quicklaunch bug, some other minor bugs like bravia engine not working (esp. for photos) like in GB. Hope these bugs get fixed in coming updates. Anyways, in all good job by sony (esp wrt camera quality improvement)!

a VERY GOOD PHONE .......... Even Iphone Owners can't take eyes off..... better than HTC sensation XE any day... Battery drain problem is now fixed (ICS update) .. screen is superior than iphone for sure..... excellent performance... internet browsing is very smooth i now like to browse on my phone more than i liked on iphone becuse of large and smooth screen + flash support + better speed... don't waste your money in buying Iphone4...this phone is way Superior..(not 4s)

anyway is it true that the 4.1 jb will no longer allowed the device to install any 3rd party app other than app from playstore? so theres no "unknown source" feature anymore in security setting. this could be a prob then.

People who have decided to buy a phone but are doubtful about this phone and something else, please watch Sony xperia s ics review on igyaan ( YouTube) also watch super smart phone showdown all 6 parts. It would have been great if gsmarena had reviewed it..... Go for xperia s. I have it from 19/05/12. It's awesome.
WHAT DO YOU SAY XPERIA OWNERS ???
