Build quality wise, again Sony has there own scratch resistant glass and it doesn't need gorilla glass ( gorilla glass can also get shattered if u drop ur handset from like 1.5 to 2 meters, watch it in you tube if you don't believe me).
NFC is optional and expensive in s2.

i have used sony xperia s it works pretty well there is no lagg in UI all the games worked pretty well 1080p video no lagg there also, but then why does it score less on benchmark...!

Very poor equipment. In my case is impossible to connect with my PC, and big error, not worked WiFi.

We can't trust its screen unless it's proven to be good and manufactured by Corning inc, which has a long(100+ years) history in this industry. So It does prove built quality of GALAXY S2 is better Xperia S.

I was proud Sony man when I listening my music on Walkman. I saddens me what it ended like this.

More custom roms a... moreAbout official update, yes Sony has changed...all of 2011 xperia have been updated to ics ( except play), Sony tablets have been updated to ics...Sony is doing a great job in terms of updates ( at least quicker than Samsung in providing updates)...

1st, Sony have there own scratch resistant screen ( they don't need to follow Apple as Samsung always doing).
About Amoled, Sony have there gracias engine tech which provides vibrant natural coloures ( and yrs Sony invented AmOLED tech if u r wondering), so it's personnel preference when it comes which screen you like better.
About battery, s2 got one of the worst battery ( go and check s2 form) with heavy use it will only last max of 4 hrs.
Speed wise, Sony Ericsson x arc have beaten s2 in browsing many times single core), sxs is faster cause it got faster processors and because it ie optimized by Sony.....and more...SXS got NFC, reap HDMI, PlayStation certified, AMAZING CAMERA.
