battery life is poor but everything else is just perfect especially the speed of the processor.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2012well , there is some problem with this cell phone, a friend... moreIn case your SXS ever hangs due to whatever reason, you can always press the power and voulume up button at the same time for a few seconds and it will switch off so you can restart the phone. So, having a non removable battery is not a problem.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2012is there any danger if the battery is non removable because... morei have this phone for about a week i'm absolutely pleased with this phone. if you are not crazy about Quad core or Larger than 4.3 inch screen then this is the phone for you. i have already upgraded it to ICS and i can confirm that its OS bugs have been removed. its 720p screen is awesome. some people are talking about that its has been poorly build but it dont feel it that way. i really think this is one of the phones out there which can force a user to abandon iphone.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2012is there any danger if the battery is non removable because... morewell , there is some problem with this cell phone, a friend of mine has this cell phone, it got hanged and didnot even show the notification light when he plugged the charger, a same thing happened with my other friend, in these cases a removing battery is a trick which helps you making your cell phone hang free,but this cell phone has a non removable battery,so its kinda problem for the users and may be that awkward moment is also a big issue for this cell phone, dont know I might be wrong ,bt I've seen that by my own eyes

Hi friends. I installed Skype and after that whenever I try to make a video call, the wifi gets disconnected and sometimes even the handset hangs. Please help. Is this an issue of Skype or the handset. I dont think it is due to the handset. Does anyone else have the same issue ??

Hi friends, I bought Xperia S just a week back. I came home and updated the Gingerbread to ICS. It was great. It was very snappy, and I didnt find a single time it malfunctioned. But I installed Skype and logged in, It was fine for the first time and then it started hanging. Now whenever I try login to Skype it lags and sometime even during a skype video call the wifi gets disconnected ... Not sure what is the issue. Please help

arc, 09 Jul 2012for the owners - is it true that only earphones compatible ... moreIf you're on Gingerbread... press the volume button while injecting the earphone/headphone jack. It'll do the trick. If you're on ICS.. you should have no problem using other 3.5 mm earphone/headphones.

Apple is doing this for their iPhones since the very first iPhone (2G) launched last 2007. I have used all models of iPhone (currently using iPhone 4S and SXS) but no bad experience having a non-removable phone at least for the iPhone. This is the first time that I am using a Sony smartphones with non-removable battery because all my previous Sony(Ericsson) smartphones are all replaceable battery. But so far using SXS for 4 months I have not encountered any problems with my SXS relating to its non-removable battery.

With ics update this phone become the best phone ever no lags no freeze on screen great performance good job sony

Lagginess is very noticeable navigating through different homescreens especially those widgets. ICS on my Xperia Arc is so smooth and fluid and it amazes me because of its smoothness, Sony really did a good job for ICS update for Xperia Arc. I think Sony should release a firmware update for Sony Xperia S to resolve few issues with ICS especially its lagginess at least before Jelly Bean OS update.

Guys, 386 mb update in parts has yielded nothing, no major jump up gimmick. Camera is still yellowish tint. Noise blurredness and small unreadable titles. Most disgusting white made for china. All over corners dirty cannot clean with any clearner or chemical. Price under 300$ from 600. Sony has made 26 models just alike. No exclusiveness in high end. Resale as always zero.

well the phone is perfect both the cameras front an back r awsome in normal mode.....wifi direct is working great, everything is working great for me hav no complaints for the past 3 months regarding any feature .....and after the new upgrade XS has become the best phone ever........ppl who hav complaints with XS i dont believe a single word u say caus this phone is the most awsome phone i ever had
