I j... moreI have SXS for 2 months now, I know there is noise in the pics captured by its 12mp sensor at 100% zoom (when viewed on other screens). It is a tradeoff for the crispness/ details captured with the tiny sensor. The pictures nonetheless are brilliant imo. Noise is worse in/by HOX & a bit less in/by SGS3.
It can be reduced by using better compression/ post processing of the raw image, meaning thereby, there is a scope of improvement. I'm hoping that ICS update might do it, yet I believe SXS camera to be the best out there till date!

The battery life is better than most other 2012 android smartphones, lasts 1.5 days on single full charge with moderate use! Try to find out what is eating ur battery so fast (using battery usage) and fix it Or upgrade to latest .76 firmware Or Replace ur unit (if faulty).

with new update .75 battery life is excelletn, 2 days without any problem (whatsapp all day, wifi/3g all day, push mail, browser about 2h per day, 50sms/day, 30min call/day) better touch sensors (back, home, settings), slighty improve focus but still that is problem.

It's quite splendid. 5 minutes ago I just plugged the HDMI cable into a Panasonic Viera ... and I was ready to watch content on it. No problem whatsoever.
The battery runs for about 1 and a half, max 2 days, the speed is quite good and there's no problem with the custom interface Sony has built. Waiting for the ICS update in late June but till then, it's a wonderful phone to have.

battery life is poor but the handset and it's performance is super! The handset only lasts for a day and runs out at night. Like full charge in the morning and a dead battery at 11 o clock at night. Not so reliable due to the poor battery but yeah anyways. I just can't wait for the Android 4 to come out for this handset. But that won't happen soon.

Sony has acknowledged that a limited number of its Xperia S smartphone have issues with the display. Specifically, the display will take on a yellow hue when the phone reaches a certain temperature.
"Sony Mobile Communications has identified that the display on a limited number of Xperia S smart phones may show a slight yellow tint if exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit)," said the company on the matter.
Sony says that the number of affected Xperia S smartphones is small, and that owners that have noticed the yellow tinting on their devices should contact their local customer service center. Sony promises to fix the issue at no cost to the customer.

I haven't tried to display it in the pc so I don't know if it's like that because of the very high pixel density of the Xperia S.

i've checked this SXS spec on sonymobile.com it says it has memory external on it, but gsmarena spec says there's no memory external on this SXS..

Yeah, there is a lot of noise in pics..(which isn't expected in a 12MP cam) I hope they improve on cam interface in ICS.. and the noise is visible when you zoom the pic but otherwise it looks great.. Also in low lightened area, pics are frustrating... I hate to use it at night... Badly hoping for that update...
