Im puzzled why people are having problems with the battery. I think it depends on the batch manufactured per market? I live in the Philippines and the unit I got is good. I dont exactly monitor how long it charges the battery from a complete drain but it does not take more than 2 hours for a complete 100% charge. then I use the phone normally for quite a number of text messages, FB and twitter posts, some instant messages and a couple of calls and few emails. i still have about 20% when I get home. And I always have location service enabled and background data as well. I have Bluetooth and NFC turned OFF though since I dont use them.
whenever I buy a new phone, I always completely drain it first then charge it 100%, then do this same cycle one more time. after that then I just use the phone normal and charge it whenever I like even if battery is not yet drained... then I just do the drain/charge cycle once a month (even with my iPad) to keep battery healthy. I've always seen this battery care routine guide which doesnt matter if your battery is Lithium ion or nicad(?) or lithium polymer. Doesnt hurt to do this.

the phone automatically disconnect the electricity so
it will prevent the battery to be overcharge.
if you leave the phone too long when it full it will automatically
decrease when it LREADY reach 100% because it stop charging.

i hav dis fone..n its perfectly workin fine..the camera is just awesome n reall a rocking fone.

Its really superb,excellent debut phone from xperia,Pointing and Shooting is toooooooooo fast and good

I have had this phone from a week after its release date (UK)... I have already had to send it back to Sony for repair as the Battery was taking around 2-3 hours to charge and was then completely flat again (without any use) withing 30mins.. I received my phone back yesterday hoping it would be sorted but infact it isnt.. I went to sleep last night and my battery was on 59%.. I woke up this morning and it was on 27%.. I hadnt touched the phone since i went to bed... Ringing Sony forst thing tomorrow!!!

ohh my god...................there is a yellow tint on my screen..................but i love this phone this is my destiny of all phones..........so gona replace with a new one from my near by sony center

To be honest, I love to have this services because I like Sony's PS game classic "Crash Bandicot". This is a problem with Sony they have so many services but only available in a very few countries.

well the phone is pretty good for the looks of it.. battery doesnt last very long though with what apps that i use. and ye there is also a problem with connecting to any wifi that is over channel 13. i had to switch all access points in my house to a lower power..

Hi , frnds .
i m frm india , and i m using this frm 12th april.
awesme phone , music quality is excelent in earphnes.
scren is good , but non hd or low resolution videos loks ugly.
phone is very fast in every step especialy in web browsing.
looks is very very good , looks very pretty in hands , i hve white one , black is also nice.
disadvantages
batery life is very poor , when ve use apps or others featureso
but standby time is very good , if u only use for cal purpose batery is good but in multimedia it is very poor.
when ve conect phone to our pc we nend to download 50 mb data to download pc companion ,it doesnot open like a pen drive.
even my phone is not conected to my pc yet.
and batery charging time is normal not fast not slow.
and one more thing , many apps it forceclose automatically , may be it only my phone but i m facing this problm.
at last i said that there are only 2 main disadvantages in phone.
overall phone is awesme.
very nice phone , gs2 is nothing in frnt of this.

I am hearing a lot about the bad battery life of XS. I dont know what the actual fact is. I have used an iphone 4 before. I was able to use the phone nearly 2 days with a single charge with -
20 calls,
5-10 photos,
10 mins video watching,
20 mins gameplay,
little wifi use(not all time),
very little browsing and
1 hr music listening.
Now i am interested to XS, but confused about the battery life. I am not a heavy user of phone. most of the time wifi is off. i am also confused about the facts of not having - gorila glass and light sensor.

I recently got Xperia S. Loving the phone all the way. But I seem to have a problem with battery. After recharging for 1.5 hr I jst see an increase in 10% in battery :(. Anyone facing the same problem?

Very Nice phone xperia s.....But I will prefer optimus 4x hd because its have evergreen ips hd display,latest hardware,external memory slot and more important removable battery with more power battery.

That was one of the key features which still drives me to get my hands on xperia s along with it.
Isn't their any other way to get the ps store? :(
I also had sent a query on the main web page regarding it, expecting a reply soon.
Let's see.
If im not mistaken, i did read somewhere that if in case the Play station store isn't there, then the same can be operated by accessing the webpage, but this will only allow the user to use it only from Xperia s only, if in case if some one owns any psp, they won't be able to access the same over there unlike what happens when the ps store is already installed.
something like that.
i'm liking this handset, but i desperately want that play station game's on the unit what i'm gonna purchase soon.

And started... moreu r a very very very stupid person and the phone is amazing no one needs ur advices fool . to restart the phone all u need is to press the up volume and the power for about 5 secs and it will restart which is rarely you need to do with this phone
