I own a ton of devices! I am a mobile technician. iphone 4s, galaxy note, nexus, moto razr, and the Xperia S. The note is my all time favorite (because of the screen size and s pen) I use it alot for drawing. But the Xperia S is a very close second! This device is redonkulace!! super fast! ultra bright crisp screen! way better then the super AMOLED on samsung's! Comparable to the Retina display. If you were to get this device you will not regret it! amazing! I absolutely love the tags! just program your settings for car, home, night, office. leave the colour tags in those spots and swipe your phone past them to automatically change to the setting for you! genius!
call quality is brilliant as well I have hearing issues and can hold a convo on a busy downtown street.
Only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of colour options in the clear bar with the home/menu/back logos.. only white. Unlike the other xperia that features the leds that change colour to what is going on the screen. So I modded mine to hold Cyan LED's so its a little more TRON-esq lol. But all round AMAZING device

I will wait for sonys upcoming high end phone having processor of snapdragon4 krait chipset dual core1.5ghz processor.I want performance.........so sony .....be hurry to manufacture this type of smartphone packed with 12mpx camera.

Hey, if any one could tell me, how to get the photos of friends/contacts from Facebook... I tried using the Facebook sync, but unfortunately its not picking up the photos on contacts... Any help !

AnonD-38108, 02 Apr 2012i guess that so...cuz i didn't feel that this update is tar... moreHopefully a better battery life with ICS especially now that Sony mentioned an app called "Performance Assistant" to optimised RAM management because Sony's 2011 Xperia family has only 512 RAM which is to be upgraded to ICS. I hope this Performance Assistant app applies to all their Xperia family (2011 & 2012). I'm still using my Xperia Arc as my second phone and I will see how this app works as my Xperia Arc has 512 RAM only (I don't expect to be more faster with this app but I would expect at least the same level of speed as it was with ICS). BTW, my Sony Xperia S battery performance is getting better each day after 6 days of charging as I have monitored the battery performance since Day 1.

AnonD-41500, 03 Apr 2012I think that it would be the only Android to consider after... moreVery true...after owing a Nokia N900 and Nokia N9, if any android we want to consider then this SXS is the one...great camera functionalities and dual core is more than enough for a phone...and now as far as display issue is concerned, Sony is replacing all the defective devices for free. Very cool design...wish there was polycarbonate covering and corning gorilla glass display as Nokia N9 has...then this would be second to none android device. Also i m goin lil over the edge with my wish list....hope this SXS had Meego OS in it...wud be a still more rocking device....

Second, it is for s smal batch of the production not the whole production.

YEAH this phone is good.. BUT IF IT GOES ABOVE 40 Degrees Celcius you will notice the yellow tint in the sides of the screen... too bad they are advertising the phone as the "Best" screen out there.. :(

I so much want to buy this phone as great camera phone is important to me but I just looked at it today at the store and I didnt like the design much. It easily dropped and didnt feel much comfortable in hands. It seems it will be hard to operate using one hand.
Still confused whether I should buy this or iphone 4s. I need to urgently buy a phone now coz my favorite satio got stolen :( I have always been Sony fan I was all set to buy this phone but design was a bit turn off.

andi, 02 Apr 2012I got updated my SXS as well a couple of days ago. I think ... morei guess that so...cuz i didn't feel that this update is targeting the battery performance more than bug fixes. i've noticed the bugs & it fixed it & that was pleasant to me. I agree wid u that XS may need a battery performance update but i'm also satisfied wid this battery life. yeah we always seek much more battery life but so far mine survive for 12h30m with data transfer on 3G or wifi plus calls & music playing.not bad at all. but playing videos with bravia engine on is a battery sucker. About ICS, i've read so much about it & one of its main targets is to be a less battery consumer OS than gingerbread. so hopefully it gets that benefit.
