Adam, 04 Mar 2012Zephyron, I've used the Galaxy S II before and I liked i... moreFrankly speaking, I've never been a fan of the SGS2

I hate the screen, being an artist and a photographer, because it looks bloody unnatural, everything's just very oversaturated even at the lowest saturation settings in the display settings (forgot what the 3 settings were), and the blacks drop faster on the screen than they do in real life, losing detail in the process when it comes to trying to view photoes with lotsa of darker areas in them. The SGS2 screen also cannot properly display white

It also didn't feel nice in the hands, being really wide and flat at the back, so there was less points of contact with the hand, which brings me to my point above

Moving from the SGS2 to the XS is a sidegrade spec wise, but a good improvement in the User Experience dept. if you can look beyond the specs

Take into consideration however, these few points as these are important for some folks:
                    - You lose the SD card slot
                    - You lose the ability to swap batteries and get larger capacity batteries
                    - Native video player does not support as many formats as the SGS2 video player does (remedied by MX Video Player)
                    - SGS2 comes with an office suite built in
                    - SGS2 has video calling and chatting, but the XS has only video chatting
                    - Lesser aftermarket parts

Those are some of the losses you'll make

The things you gain with the XS would be
                    - Damn good feeling on the hand
                    - Premium feeling phone
                    - Extremely fast internal memory with generous capacity
                    - Better camera in low lit conditions
                    - Better 1080p recording (XS = 30mm wide angle, SGS2 = 44mm narrow angle)
                    - Drop dead gorgeous and NTSC 100% accurate screen
                    - Better documented DLNA setup on the XS VS the SGS2 (I'll demonstrate this on a video once I have things setup)

That said, coming from the SGS2, I suggest waiting for either the Hayabusa or the Mint. I'm not allowed to reveal much about them at the moment, but present online leaks are relatively accurate.

All apps compatible on Galaxy S II will be compatible for the Xperia S also? After the ICS update will it differ from any other ICS running on other phones?

                        Zephyron,

I've used the Galaxy S II before and I liked it pretty much and right now the specs on this Xperia S are really amazing and im planning on buying it, but I don't wana get disappointed later on if there will be some bugs and whatnot to be found later on. What do you suggest?

I'm a little mixed about recommending just about -ANY- Android flagship to a person who has never used Android before. Am more inclined to recommend the midranged phones to get a taste of what the flagships may feel like instead.

AnonD-43357, 04 Mar 2012this phone is to big and to heavy.Depends from person to person

I workout, and I'm 5'10"/178cm in height, phone fits me just fine, and I personally think it could use more weight

Can't satisfy you guys IMO, phone too light = poor build quality, too heavy with good build and you whine
