Oh man!!! Li-Ion 1750 mAh my gosh another phone that only last when you start working and last at the end your working period damn!!.
Hoping to buy this phone but it turns out to be another High powered phone but without Endurance. I hope that i am the one who is mistake my comment.
Btw are you sure it has no external memory card? another flaw for it

please can anybody explain this to me....people in India, France & other countries got their hand on the Xperia S...and the unboxing videos are just getting numerous on youtube & in the same time Sony says officially it's "coming soon" how is that??!! the phones bought by normal people in 3 continents & they are posting videos about the picture & video samples , UI & how fast is the boost...it's all over youtube ?!! please explain this.

Not touching on quality, the speakers on the Xperia S is somewhat louder than that of the Xperia arc/S
Not as loud as either the RAZR or the Live w/ Walkman, but sufficiently loud enough to wake me up in a bit of a shock after setting a flashbang explosion as my alarm ringtone (ex military, got woken up that way while on field practice before)

1.5 hours on HD video through HDMI streaming, 6 minutes of talk time, some snapshots and video recording, a bit of web browsing, some Twitter and Facebook, a few file transfers from the netbook not surpassing 3 minutes.
'Having a charger all the time' is somewhat a harsh, invalid point
32GB of internal memory is plenty, and pairing the fast camera = extremely fast internal memory of >30MB/s read and 14+MB/s write. No Class10 microSD comes to that kinda speed, none, zip, nada, zero.
MicroSIM is hardly a disadvantage, when it can be used with all phones with a simple to use adapter and has higher storage capacity than regular SIMs (telco dependant). One would only say this if one is afraid of an... inconvenience... of no significance
OTOH, normal SIMs can't fit into a MicroSIM phone without first being cut, which risks damage depending on chip layout

Disadvantages of xperia s: 1750 mah inbuilt battery,no memmory card slot,micro sim
1750 mah battery needs a charger all time.

i've got xperia arc and i'm very happy. everybody talk about the life ot the battery - i can tell you that my xperia can live 2 days without charging or 3 hours. it depends how you use it. the new xperia s is GORGEOUS!!! and now i want it asap! so, please, sony, release it soon!!!
