How can I update its OS to Jelly bean from Ginger bread without PC Companion? as PC Companion requires a high speed computer which I don't have.

If you haven't tried reformatting/factory reset your phone, please try; just make sure you back up all your data/files. If it doesn't work, bring your phone to Sony customer service (or do this first to be more safe).

For me ICS is better than Gingerbread, especially for the glove mode, but others (heavy gamers, I think) prefer GB.

I've been using this phone for almost 9 months now and I have some problems but they were all fixed; in worst cases, I did a factory reset.
Overall, this is really a good phone. It made me stopped looking for the elusive "better phone".

My sola is getting discharged within 8 h... moredear friend, I have been using this phone for about 8-9 months. and my friends use to operate my sola roughly. even after all this problem doesn't happen like this. well I can't say that it has a very good battery backup. but still it is a good phone. the problem I face with it is that it has less ram, so applications consumes most of the ram and phone gets slower.
if your phone is still under the guarantee period, immediately replace it. or if not then just sell it to a fool. trust me.

nice. games work smoothly. dont install ics. it may be a reson for slow down your phone speed.I highly recommended buy this phone.because it has many advanced technology feature.
