Dear friends, my sola's display automatically brightens for 2-3 seconds when kept idle (I.e when the screen is locked). The screen gets brightened as if I am pressing the power off/on button in order to unlock the phone. I am using gingerbread 2.3.7.
Is there anyone who is facing such issues? ??
Any solution will be highly appreciated. ..

Battery Life will be affected by the installed apps. It's quite easy to fix, simply download a task killer app. Your battery consumption will significantly lessen. :)

hearty, 26 Dec 2012as for me ICS works really fine..the ordinary music player... morejust changed icon and some functions but ui is almost the same in ics - music player compare to gb music player, the real walkman on adnroid was in mine's lww because it has dedicated music player button and light effects but the best walkman player was on java because there was light effects,clearbass,shake control,eq ant other walkman goodies

Since Sony announced the update release of the newer android ICS for the Xperia Sola, I had tried more than 20 times and it keeps on telling me "software up to date" everytime I try. Still running Android 2.3 and extremely unhappy with Sony considering I had purchased the phone after Sony announced the update release. No wonder Sony has become such a laughing stock in the business and have lost so much of it's name and credibility over the last five years.

Edward, 25 Dec 2012mine's come with 2.3.7 also known as Gigerbread but its imp... moreas for me ICS works really fine..the ordinary music player turned to a walkman player when the phone was updated to ICS.
