Xperia SP is better than Moto G in almost every single aspect (except for the "guaranteed updates").
In case you are about to do the argument that "Moto G is a quadcore, hence it must be more powerful" then don't bother, because you are wrong. The Dual-Core Krait that equips the Xperia SP is proven to faster that the quadcore Cortex-A7 in Moto G in benchmarks all over this site.
Plus, Xperia SP even has a top dog GPU!

Which one to go for Moto G or sony xperia SP? really confused.. moto g is for 14000 and sony xperia sp is for 18000.. .worth spending more on sony product? both have non removable battery..
I am not really into gaming .. just want a reliable phone for messaging, skype and few other applications.

how is camera quality of this 4n..i don't know the deal which Sony had with Ericcson.But any mobile can't reach from the camera quality,near to SONY ERICSSON.very very execelent of Sony ericsson..unfortunately it was closed..sony also no like that mobile

Today iam going to sale my xperia sp lag and slow performance in 4.3 i cant take it any more and going buy motorola droid mini super fast phone same hardware, option like moto x, with motorola new chip x8, and touchless control, good multitasking by help x8 chip and gaming performance, here spec droid mini has,16gb memory no sd card,nano sim, 4.3inch lcd sharp and bright gorilla glass, 10mp camera led flash hdr mode, front camera 2mp, cpu 1.7ghz dual core s4 pro chipset msm8960DT with moto x8 help for bosting, ram 2gb ddr3 same as galaxy s4, htc one, adreno 320gpu, andriod version kitkat 4.4.2 already updated and next version is 4.4.3 will be come soon.

lam, 20 May 2014im using this phone since last year May. im very satisfied ... morehello, is camera quality really improved in 4.3? which version do you have? is it .201? I have got wifi range issue in 4.1 and not quite satisfied with camera. I would appreciate if 4.3 update will give me solution to this. is viber running in your 4.3?

i am happy with OS 4.1.2, if i upgrade my mobile with NEW SYSTEM UPDATE, what will change the OS 4.1.2 to 4.3??

k11, 20 May 2014S4 mini is confirmed to get android 4.4 kitkat in june (kit... moreOn top of that, the SP also has a substantially larger battery.
In turn the S4 mini has a substantially better front camera (2MP vs VGA).
If you are into 3rd party ROMs, the S4 mini now ships with the Knox bootloader (which means an instant "warranty void" and a non-removable message each time you boot the phone).
On the other hand, unlike the S4 mini whose ROMs work quite well, the CM11 ROMs for the SP have been plagued with issues all over (that cause them to not be even officially available)... which isn't very inspiring given the lack of people available to develop to that phone (vs what you find in the S4 mini).

As for other specifications, both xperia sp and s4 mini are at par but s4 mini has more RAM (1.5 GB) compared to sp (1 GB) while sp has a slightly bigger and sharper display with a more powerful graphic processor. In case you choose to go for sp, do not update the phone to the currently available android 4.3 firmware as its got a number of issues (lags, bugs) but stick to android 4.1 until the kitkat update gets available (hopefully).

The screen is bigger and yet still comfortable to holds, and supported by the Sony BRAVIA Engine 2 (mostly used in some Sony TV) it's just make it better. The GPU also a bit better with Adreno 320. And the last thing, the unique factor that made me bought this phone, of course the Illumination LED light. That was just a really unique factor that is not disturbing at all. You wont regret it.
